A Passage of Arms . The gauntlet is down! One dark knight, one heroic traveller. Place your bets... . The town of Varfleet was quiet until a few hours ago - a perfect day for the hunt. One of the infamous Wolf Lords, Bern Fenric, has led his rabble of rogue knights into the village square and is terrorising the villagers. Then a single figure, a stranger to these parts, steps onto the graceful Varfleet Bridge. He is a scruffy, dark-haired wanderer - not much of a challenge to Fenric's brutal soldiers. Or so they think... With a laugh, Fenric himself steps onto the bridge, cheered on by his band. If this stranger wants to fight, he will soon learn why Fenric has such a fearsome reputation... Lisa Ferndew, the ravishing daughter of the innkeeper, gives the stranger her favour. Fenric is confident that, should the fight go awry, one of his trusty archers will quickly come to his aid. Unfortunately, not all the villagers approve of this blatant cheating. The guard at the toll house was napping on the job. As far as we know, no one has found him yet. Who is this mysterious traveller? What does he want? Keep your eyes open... his name is Martin Bowman, and he will be returning to Wolfgard very soon... this fight is not his first, and it is far from his last... Commentary; This is one of those MOCS that came very close to being taken apart before it was even finished! But mainly I just wanted to do something a bit different and a bridge seemed like a good idea, and gave me a chance to try the SNOT arches that I have so admired in many other castle builders. If I'd had more time I would have done a bigger background and more village, but as it is I used a foil chocolate wrapper for the water... easy!
