Why?
Heinkel He111 . This is my take on the German WWII bomber "Heinkel He 111" Like my other planes it's made in minifig scale but can't really hold minifigs. . The Heinkel He 111 was designed in the early 1930s in violation of the Treaty of Versailles. Often described as a "Wolf in sheep's clothing",it masqueraded as a transport aircraft, but its purpose was to provide the Luftwaffe with a fast medium bomber. Even though being obsolete in the later half of the war the plane was manufactured as late as 1944. I have designed the bombing doors to be able to open and the landing gear to be retractable. The Different Luftwaffe squadrons had different color patterns. This ranged from different squadron colors to the specialized colorpatterns used in the wide range of theaters and roles the medium bomber was used in. Here an attempt at a different decal from the European squadrons. And the almost entirely black night bomber version And the mostly white version used primarily on the eastern front. The Heinkel He 111 was often in serious trouble during the Battle of Britain "Verdammt spitfire!" Thanks for visiting, rating and commenting Anders T
