VW Golf GTI . Here it is, a Volkswagen Golf GTI from the 1st generation. . Here it is, a Volkswagen Golf GTI from the 1st generation. The reason why I made it was because I wanted to make a frontwheel driven car. So I did. First I made a 4 cylinder in line engine attached to a 4 speed manual transmission. Then I made a front suspention with differential and combined the two. That was actually the biggest challenge, but it works very well. Then I wanted to build a car around it. And since I build with technic lego and I don't have the bricks to make some nice curvy lines I decided to make a boxey car. And what car is as angular as a Golf 1. technical features: 4 cylinder engine in line; 4 speed transmission; independent front suspention; rear suspention; frontwheel steering; frontwheel drive; doors, hood and trunk opens. enjoy.
