Why?
Bainbridges department store . Bainbridges the department store based on chain buildings from the 20/30's! . This is my MOC of a department store, with 3 floors, the first being fashions for both men and women, the middle floor for furniture and the top floor as a small cafe/bar, the building has a 20/30's theme, many chain buildings in the UK built in that time were styled similar (Burtons the tailors, woolworths, co-operatives and M&S), sadly many of them have fallen into disrepair so I wanted to capture some of their great features in this MOC. The name Bainbridges is from one of the oldest department stores in my hometown Newcastle which sadly no longer exists. The original store was from the mid 1800's so in no way looked like a 30's shop. Hope you like, comments and questions welcome!
