Ebeltoft . The antigue Ebeltoft Rdhus (town hall) . This is the old city hall of the danish town Ebeltoft. Constructed the year 1789, today a museum. First some general views of the model; The typical tourist-photo of the building; My grandparents owned a summer house in Ebeltoft for many years, so I know the building and the town very well! Its the first time Ive tried to make textured walls, but I dont know if it shows very well on the photos; By the way; The red-white thingy is really an old sea-mine that is now used as a piggy bank for the tourists... This is a "high-precision" model; Every window, plank, angle, etc. is represented in its right position. Note especially the 4 small windows; They are SNOT-positioned 4-plate wide ones... (Think about it... ;-) Did you also spot the brick-build owl? Also, all tourists must take a photo of their kids "riding" the cannons (when the guard is not there, of course...) Another picture of the wall-textures; The owl again, if you missed it the first around; The bell-tower is actually octagonal in real life too. Perfect for Lego reproduction! ;-) The minifig-guard is one brick taller than normal minifig... Finally, a top-down view of the whole thing. Note the angled position of the building on the baseplate. (The baseplate is of the old type meassuing 50x50 studs.) HAPPY NEW YEAR to everybody!
