Why?
Baseplate Tips-Neptune Discovery Lab . The Neptune Discovery Lab Baseplates (also in the Dark Forest Fortress, Hydro Crystalation (not a word, but that's the name) Station, and the Islanders one (largest) can be difficult to build with, so here I have two solutions. . Base 1: Built directly into the ground, works well for having multi-levels. The entrance is basic but can easily be added onto. The back, where other things are easy to add. Another doorway, and if you have two of these a passageway could be added here. The wall against the cliff-not really great for building unfortunately. Base 2: Raised above the ground, has a great look and it can have vehicles pass under it. The front-the entrance is not very refined, and you can see how a modestly tall vehicle can fit under. The back-walkways look cool with this sort of base. The side. A top view. Just for fun I placed a trapdoor for escapes. This is all simple, but I found it quite difficult to figure out how to use these baseplates. They are oddly shaped and raised in a wierd way. Fortunately, the angle is the opposite of an inverted 1x1x3 (I think that's what it's called).
