Why?
Mysterion object #710 . Another violent Mysterion. Some think it was simply provoked.... . Accessing U.M.R.C. files... Access granted. Opening Mysterion data: Item.Nmbr=710 .....Object 710 files retrieved. Opening file. Object 710 was first sighted within 500 kilometers of the facility currently testing the M.A.L.E. array, having warped in behind another building. It did not open fire on any structures or civilians, but marched directly toward the testing facility. A young cadet, who was on security duty, opened fire on Object 710 due to emotional stress caused by previous mysterion attacks. Cadet John Davisson's high-powered rail rifle shells made contact with Object 710's canopy, suggesting that it was unshielded, but the canopy itself remained undamaged. The object then turned on a waist-like pivot to 'face' the cadet, and fired some form of de-atomization ray at him from the device pictured below. Cadet Davisson's current condition is classified. After this violent attack, object 710 began to repeatedly de-atomize nearby military and scientific personnel within it's immediate vicinity. The local authorities were forced to use high-caliber weaponry in an attempt to slow the Mysterion, but the artillery emplacements were destroyed between the use of the de-atomization ray and the other side mounted weapon, which fired high-energy plasma (pictured below). When finally confronted by ArcheoGenis Biomechs, Object 710 was able to be temporarially held at bay. The diversion was futile, for the solitary Indra BioMech (credit to Yuri) sent to repell the Mysterion were completely and utterly obliterated by some form of unknown weapon mounted on the top of Object 710. The object disappeared during the aftermath of the explosion. No residual energy traces were found to explain the weapon's massive power, or how a mysterion that small (slightly smaller than Yuri's Firefreak) could sustain a weapon of that magnitude. END DATALOG. Additional photos: A picture of the legs and feet. The canopy without attachments. And, last but not least, the all-important butt-shot.
