Tubular frame . Tubular frame sportscar with tranlission behind rear axle and superlow enigine. . 1 Profile picture. The car is lower than two times wheel diameter. Recipe for succes. 2 Note the tilt of the fromt wheels. Axis of rotation when turning the wheels is tilted backwards. 3 Front view. 4 5 Yes, I know. The transmission is a bit long. But it has to be to accomodate all 5+R gears. 6 An other look at the tranmission. 7 Tubular frame - just like a real racecar. 8 Looks cool if I say so myself. 9 Note the offset position of the a-arms giving the wheel its bakward tilt. 10 Underside view. Thank you Tyler Reid for the idea of the remote link. 11 Remote linkage goes under the differential. 12 13 The W16 engine is mounted very low for realistic center of gravity. I've noticed that many LEGO creations have the engine mounted high to accomodate for transmissions and differentials. 14 15 I'm probably never going to finish it. I get bored with aesthetics quite fast. Please add comments - good or bad.
