UCS Twin Pod Cloud Car . A larger scale Storm IV Twin Pod Cloud Car from The Empire Strikes Back. . Time for a little love for one of the more notable designs from the Star Wars films. Yes, it's our favourite means of transportation on Bespin. I mean: what? Two people, in red pods, devided by an engine? To be honest, it looks like a pair of flying red shoes with its laces tied together. But I like it for what it is. Some specs (thanks Wookieepedia!): - Length: 7 meters - Maximum speed: 1500 km/h - Maximum altitude: 100 kilometers - Engine unit(s): Incom Tx-2, Quadex Kyromaster - Armament: Blaster cannons (standard configuration: 2) - Crew: Pilot (1), Gunner (1) - Cargo capacity: 10 kg - Consumables: 1 day (Ps: I noticed my pictures got a bit garbled after uploading and automatic resizing. Click on the photos for a better view) Front and back view. Front view of one of the pods. Side view with a clear view of the blaster cannon and the maneuvering flap on the back. The pilot's pod popped out from behind the gunner's pod. Top view. No, I mean it. The view is awesome from inside a cloud car. A nice portrait shot. Aaaand another lower portrait. Inside the Bespin Motors hangar bay. Knowing Cloud City, they probably found it one morning on a stack of bricks with its repulsorlift engine missing. Portrait of the back.
