James Bond 007 Lotus Esprit S1 Submarine . James Bond's Lotus Esprit Submarine from "The Spy Who Loved Me". . UPDATE : Just adding some old photos I found, of the model halfway being built :) (The photos are after description, if you can't be bothered to read) Hi, Here it is; James Bond's white Lotus Esprit transforming submarine-car from "the spy who loved me" ; one of the most famous Bond cars; second only to the Aston Martin DB5. I was half considering building this; when, coincidentally, I was invited to join a contest group to make a film car... that plus I got quuite bored the next day meant I got persuaded to make yet another car :) This one's different to my usual cars though; for starters, it's smaller (16-wide... yes, to me, that's small) , and since it was for a competition I limited myself to only using parts I already had, to avoid ordering new bits and waiting forveer for them to turn up in the post. Also, unlike my other cars, since this is a Bond car, I wanted to make it 'properly' and include as many gadgets as I could from the car in the film. The first lot of photos show it in submarine mode; with the four side fins replacing the wheels, the guns on the front and the torpedo in the back. The second batch of photos show it in it's normal car form; with the nearest wheels I could make, the guns coming out of the rear number plate holder, and a couple of interior shots. You can also see the spare wheel and opening doors in a couple of the pictures. I hope you like this as much as I liked making it ! Personally, I think this is definately my best "less than 24hrs" model to date :) Dan P.S. If you are looking to buy lego for your creations, I would like to recommend the following Bricklink lego shop ; "About Town, Castle & Train" ( http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=stacey_love ) I personally know the shopholders, and they are very nice, devoted people. They are currently sponsoring 100% of my 1/3 Lamborghini project, providing all of the parts; and have made various other donations to other models I have made. The store has a wide selection of parts (over 600,000!), at good prices, and offer an exceptional, fast service (no tax or dodgy exchange rates, next day postage, etc). you won't be disappointed !
