A mini republic invasion of somewhere . my first diorama, utilizing my mini collection. . Backstory: Well it is basically endor, but on a different planet, a different time, and different armies.
two different side angles, not much to say.
Possibly my favorite pic, as it shows a nice angle of the "mini" carnage.
The overview of the intense action on the ground
Clones dropped of by "Big Beautiful Doll" beginning their move towards the bunker, with their bright-yellow-look-at-me commander in the lead.
The droids as they vainly attempt to hold off the invasion.
The all important bunker (minus its long range communication relay). Controls something
for something, and must be captured to allow for the larger republic invasion to take place or something like that.
Same bunker different view.
The arc gunship zooms by overhead for.... something I don't know use your imagination, I thought it looked cool.
"Big Beautiful Doll" laying down some fire, after dropping off its load of clone troopers.
Dropping payload, is a laat/c bringing some heavy armor to the battlefield.
That's a confirmed kill! A v-19 fires as the droid fighter/vulture droid (I still find that kinda confusing) bursts into flame.
I'm hit! a v-19 is hit by fire from a pursuing tri-fighter.
A Y-wing streaks away after successfully bombing the bunkers long range communication relay.
My newest additions into my mini collection, spider droids, well 1 1/2 of them.
Some diords (droids spelled backwards) exercising their fight or flight character qualities. They went rather intelligently chose flight.
Another form of fight or flight, only this time flight means hide and cower beneath the only cover in the entire display. ;-)
I've been meaning to make a dio for some time, but never got around to it. The challenge for me, this being my first scene, was the scenery, but I guess that will come with time. All the minis are viewable in my SW minis folder, if you care to bet a better look, excluding the spider droids. Hope I didn't bore you to death with all these many words. I enjoyed building it, and can only hope you enjoyed viewing, and are inspired to build more minis yourself.
With that I bid thee good day.
