My minifig army. Defending freedom the Victorian way, with a stiff upper lip.
About this creation
This is my minifig army.
It is an infantry unit, stationed in the Middle East, protecting the trade routes The do this through extended patrolling and garisonning strategic locations; fortified barracks in towns, and forts in the remote areas.
The Royal Tabnerian Rifles was initially raised as a single battalion in the UK and then deployed overseas. While in India a second battalion was raised of local Sikhs, renowned as soldiers for their courage and aggressiveness; a small detachment has been deployed a part of the first battalion in their current posting.
The 1st Battalion is commanded by a Lieutenant Colonel and there are 20 other officers. There are seventeen ordinary platoons of infantry, two platoons of mounted infantry and a reserve platoon. They are formed into 5 ordinary companies and one special company plus a detachment of Sikh troops from the 2nd (Sikh) Battalion.
UPDATE 27/04/07: In response to several reviews (especially those who ask questions but leave no way for me to send answers - twits!), I bought all of these parts legitimately on Bricklink over the past few years - right time, right place I suppose, with most of the parts being very cheap - I know that some of the parts had been got directly from Lego in Denmark by the Bricklink sellers whom I purchased them from - probably quite shadily. Currently I have just over 500 soldiers.
FURTHER UPDATE May 2007: I have created a new page for the army, with a similar name but using pics from MW'07. See: 1st Battalion, Royal Tabnerian Rifles (part 2).

great job-
the guy who said you used a mirror is wrong because some of the rifle on the back rows and the hands are in a way that a mirror can't have been used ( :p)
