An exact replica, well almost, of the German SMG, the MP40.
About this creation
Well, the time has come to put out another MOC. This time around I decided to build another weapon, well because after posting my first weapon, I thought that mabey guns are my thing. So I made a sequel to my popular M1A1 Thompson, by making its counter-part, the MP40. So kick off your shoes, and put down those lego bricks, and, well you get the point. Please enjoy the MOC.
The bare version of the MP40, without any attachments. The length of the real gun is about 24 inches, mine is just over 22 1/2.
Here is a side view. The MP40 was designed by Heinrich Vollmer, and was used in WWII by Nazi Germany.
Here is the trigger, it used the same rubber band technique to allow it to pull back in place once someone has pulled it.
The sights on the MP40 were quite small, because this weapon was meant for close quarters. Here are the sights, this sight lines up with the front one perfectly. It had a fire rate of about 500 rounds a minute.
The front of the gun, my favorite part, you can see that I used a simple tire as the front sight.
Well, we have come to our first attachment. This is a new attachment that I made only for this gun. The real stock is 8 inchs long, and mine is 8 too. It was meant to make the weapon more accurate, and have less recoil.
A closer view of the stock.
Aperture never hurts, right?
Shhh, shut up, we won't be able to here the scilencer! I made it a few tires longer this time around.
And a full view with both the extended stock, and aperture.
Thanks for viewing, and also thanks to those who have already left so many comments. So here is the part where I say please leave a comment, so "Please leave a comment"
Now if everything goes as planned, I'm gonna simple things down for our slower ones, by building a bolt action rifle. I want I to fire something, so if you have any ideas run them by me.
Wow..Im amazed how accurate it is, my dad is a professional WWII archeologist and i have this gun in my dads garage... so i can say this is very accurate..The only things that aren't so good are the aiming thing on the top,the magazine is too far from the handle, and the slide mechanism is a bit too short, but this is still very well done
