Post-Apoc cliché, here I come!
About this creation
My last Post Apocalyptic attempted was an utter failure. Aside from the fact that it included my only mech, it was one of the reasons I lost the MOC-off against Will Thomas. This, my friend, is the dio that haunts me. Why couldn't I build like this during the MOC-off? We'll never know...But for now, Will is the master! =)
If anybody inspired me to build this, it's my good TFOL friends Will Thomas and Robert Murphy. (And of course the master, Tyler Clites)

Everett is a medium to large-sized city on the Puget Sound of Washington State, best known for the military ship yards that hold some of the greatest Aircraft Carriers in the nation. It is also home to Boeing's assembly plant for the 747, 767, 777, and the new 787 in the largest building in the world by volume at 116.5 million cubic feet.
And now, in the year 2105, it is destroyed. Destroyed is an understatement.

World War III (yes, I'm using that again) has killed most of the people in the world, and a band of friends are now eking out their survival in the streets of Everett. Let's go meet them!

Old Bobby Hanks constantly sits in his portion of the building. His only companionship is the skeletonized head of his former friend "Wilson", kept in the backpack. Why was he so strongly attached to his friend, you ask? *snicker* You're weird...
Joseph Harding (standing on rock) is one of those young men that even older men look up to. His wits and good looks make his the coolest of the group.
John Magnus *cough*BruceWillis*cough* is the veteran of the group. He is addicted to guns, and proudly shows off his bald head, even when it got really bumpy from the war.
Mark Rankless is a former lawyer who is awkwardly attracted to the color tan. 'Nuff said.
As seen UNDER the rock formation, George Don is the knife man. I like knives! (And Ike!)
My dad helped me a lot by telling me how buildings crumble. He's got a degree in mechanical engineering, and then designed blown-up buildings as a 3D artist for like, ten years. (Now he's the manager)
I followed his advice. =)
My daid tree. Either that or it's just winter...Eggplant, you're the teacher, what is this kind of tree called? You know, the one with the colorful leaves! And why do they turn colors?
Yeah, those whips were Nannan's idea.
They call these white hands "Auntie Joan's gloves". Nobody can tell if they're hands or gloves though, because it's all the same in Lego!
You've probably noticed that the smaller building on the rock is a whole lot less damaged then the larger one, and that it's built on the road. The reason for that, is WWIII came in two waves. After the first wave, John Magnus built this small building, not caring about the road of course, but then the second wave came and destroyed more, including the small building.
The power lines were a sweet little addition right before taking the pictures. Why are the lines crossed, you ask? 'Cuz I wanted them like that, that's why.
So yeah, they can go under the big rock...which you've probably figured out by the entrance in the front.
To anyone who thinks I should have added a vehicle: go play on some power lines. =)
And, as a closing note, here's some pictures if when it was a WIP. You'll probably notice several buildings where my giant rock is now. That's what you call a directors cut.

Here's a couple more closing notes. =)

I like the way this thing looks in the long pull back shots. Small amounts of greenery (like weeds, not trees mind you), might be cool. I mean, weeds would grow in within a few weeks, so it's hardly a sign of "Good times". It wouldn't hurt the gloomy mood (gloomy rocks by the way). Attack! |

Your building on your past work and obviously learning from what you did and what you see around you. I like seeing where people work and how they sort their bricks. see ya. garth |
