This vignette started building itself when I saw this:

I thought that it looked like a coracle.

Then when I read this Vignettes' group's conversation "SNOT or no SNOT for Vignettes?" this vignette kept assembling itself.

Because I had seen these MOCs:




I also knew that native north americans built tublike boats with framework of willow poles, covered with raw buffalo hides, called Bull Boats.


I also had seen this topic on the eurobricks pirate forum.

I choose a Siouan language name for this MOC's young native american I figure he is probably Osage, and there fore close to Texas.
I used this English-Lakota Dictionary to translate Long Paddle into Wal'itop'e Hanska because Pehnin Hanska is Long Hair, and Mila Hanska is Long Knive.

That's really cute! The vignette is nicely put together: SNOT is definitely a good choice for this one. Great fig, too!
