a working lee enfield bolt action sniper rifle with detachable sniper scope and bi-pod, fed from 8 brick magazines
About this creation
This is by far the best rifle I have ever made. It is a working magazine-fed rifle in bolt-action configuration, with detachable magazines, sniper scope and bi-pod
You can see a video here that explains all of what I'm about to say
'Bolt action' means that every time you want to load a round, you flick the bolt lever up, pull it backwards, push it forwards again and flip it down. By doing this you will extract a 1x4 brick from the magazine, pull back the 'hammer' (rubber band), insert the brick into the chamber and hook the rubber band onto the back of it.
Bolt-action rifles were one of the first types of repeating rifle, along with the pump-action and lever-action. They were used in WWI and WWII, as they are reliable and easy to use.
This rifle has a sniper scope, bi-pod stand and 2 8-round magazines. The stand is collapsible and detachable and clips onto the front of the barrel. When it collapses the legs are parallel with the barrel.
The sniper scope looks authentic, but when you aim with it you actually look through a small hole underneath the scope, as I couldn't make the actual scope hollow.
The mechanism is a pretty simple one, and because of this hardly ever jams.

These 6 pics are various views of the bi-pod. You can see that it is on a spring to open automatically when in use.
My son would love this his bday is coming up soon I was wondering as well as everyone else would you be willing to send me the instructions on how to build one and a parts list thanks jeremy
If you are allowing people to have the parts list and instruction manual for the build of this gun, I would love to have them. I have a 11 year old step-son that is crazy about legos and FPS. Thank you in advance.
I built this gun by looking at our pictures but with the bullets with a tile attached on top of each bullets. I useda tooth piece to let go of the bullet when the trigger is pulled. I just don't get how this works with your kind of bullet without the tile attached. It just slips out of the grip of the tooth . U said u used a L piece... I just dont get how it works!
I know everyone is asking and I understand if you can't, but if I could get the instructions and list of pieces needed, I would appreciate more than you may know. My fiance and I are Army vets and he recently came down with MS. Since then, he's been unstoppable with building legos and I would LOVE to be able to give him a kit for this for Christmas. thats awesome, i really want one of these just for a collectible but don't have the time or resources to find one for sale or make one, anyone know a where i could buy one ? preferably this model or even a springfield or m14
email links or offers to firstname.lastname@example.org
Hey, it would be so awesome if you could send me the instructions and parts list for this model.
Here is my email address: email@example.com
Again, congrats on such an awesome creation, it would be amazing if i were to duplicate it :)
Hey man love your work. I have built all of youf guns out of heavy weapons and love them. Im looking for more patterns to build off of. Any chance your going to be publishing a new book? Or any chance I could get you to email me some more patterns? Thanks
That's an awesome build. The folding bi-pod and detachable scope are great. I was wondering if you could send me a parts list and instructions so I could build one of my own. Please send to firstname.lastname@example.org if possible. Great video and great built.
Mate I dont know if you get to all these emails since SOOO many people think this is awesome!!!
But if you can could you send me instructions to email@example.com
Would be awesome to build one of your guns and have a play around :)
Hello, I have just seen your LEGO rifle on Facebook and think it is brilliant, I do relise that you will have a 1000 and 1 people asking you for the instructions and part list! but if you do get time i would greatly appreciate you forwarding them to my Email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Its awesome man! Should work on an AR. Could you kindly send instructions on how to build this amazing Lego killing machine. My daughter would love to be able to build something like this, she loves Lego's.
would it be possible to send the instructions for this rifle to me?
i'll be building it from scratch so if possible, is there a way you could send a list with all the needed bricks? or possibly a LDD (lego digital desinger) file?
Dont get me wrong I love your guns. I've fired a real Lee enfield and the model you've made isnt entirely accurate. Try bringing the wooden barrel casing up until about 10 studs from the back, and try to get the foresight up and rounded a bit more, still this is entirely aesthetic stuff I couldn't possibly find anything wrong with your mechanism even if I tried 4/5
I LOVE IT!!! i've been trying to build for ages a gun like that and i've never succeed, so GRAND MASTER of Bricks would you please send me instructions at email@example.com
P.S. i also fallow your you tube channel
Sir that rifle is one of the best things I've seen. As a Marine sniper I can really appreciate your hard work on the design and building of this weapon, and I would be honored if you would send me the instructions on building this weapon. Thanks for your time.
This was really awesome! I was really surprised when i saw this first, I didn't expect it to work very well, but it does! Very nice job! I was also wondering if you could perhaps email any instructions on how to craft this? (If any instructions exist =P), to firstname.lastname@example.org ? Thanks, and again, nice job!
do you reckon you would be able to make a mark III lee-enfield bolt action rifle. it doesnt have to fire but if possible would be great.
if you can make one please can you send me the plans as i would like to make one for a ww1 history project. you can send the designs to email@example.com

EVERYONE! BEFORE POSTING A COMMENT READ THIS! HE HAS NOT A SINGLE BOOKLET, PIECE LIST, INSTRUCTION FOR ANY GUN OTHER THAN HIS H&K M416
SO STOP FREAKING ASKING! HES NEVER, NEVER, NEVER EVER GOING TO GIVE THEM OUT CAUSE HE DOESN'T HAVE ANY! SO LOOK AT EVERYONE ELSE'S COMMENTS AND ASK IF THEY GOT THE INSTRUCTIONS FROM HIM OK.
Nice Gun I can see and I am wondering if you can make a barret 50 cal It is from the game modern warfare So as a intervention In the game if you can make that you will be a youtube favourite because nobody has made that!!! But all plans to the side VERY NICE GUN

Hi, Love the gun! It's great how you got the mechanism really smooth and precise. Love the creativity involved in such a masterpiece. If you can send me the instructions (email@example.com) I would much appreciate it. Thanks
men its wonderful what a man can do with legos an imagination. i was wondering if you can send me the instructions to build this sniper to my mail, is firstname.lastname@example.org my first lego gun so if you have one esier its better for me and the pieces i will use to go to the store and buy it.
awsomest ever. but wouldn't the brick fall out if you tilted it enough?that's why i would make it closed bolt.love it!
p.s. lee enfeilds had clips that are inserted at the top with a built in mag on the gun.
my cousin is about to marry a cop she says he isnt allowed to have a gun I know he should man up but he is a mad leggo feind and if would love to give him one of these (and make one for me) for his emgagement please email me some instructions too email@example.com
Dude, this gun is is like, if god made a baby with megan fox, this gun is more beautiful than that child. please send the plans or i will pay with paypal for you to send me a fully built version of this, email me at JCIV523@gmail.com
dude, that was, the best, video ever! this gun looks sooo cool. about how many pieces did it take, or is there a set? I would love to make this. I love to shoot real guns, and this looks just as good. plz email me with instructions or the set name.
after seeing this on facebook i got very interested and got to looking all over the web for ideas and other guns. this is by far the best design i have seen. i would really like for instructions to build and an idea on where i could get all the parts and maybe an estimate on cost to make. you should really bring your idea to lego. you could make alot of money. i know i would be willing to spend alot of money to have a kit for this. ps if your willing to put a kit together and instructions for this maybe we could work out a price
hello sir i am 11 years old and my 12 year old birthday is coming up and i was just wondering can you can give me a price because i really like it if so message me back at firstname.lastname@example.org thank you for your time
please send me the instructions, i know every one asks you about it , but its awesome. If you can't send me the istructions for this one, please send only how to do the bolt action machanism, Thanks
Great gun Mr. Streat!!! I am in need of help with the bolt action and firing mechanism of my lego gun and a set of instructions to your lee enfield sniper would be greatly appreciated. Nathanmac911@gmail.com
Mr Streat, congratulations. You are a genius. Would it be convenient for you to send me the instructions as to how to build the bolt mechanism? I understand if you wish to keep your designs to yourself. However, any tips you could give me on making LEGO guns will be much appreciated. My email is email@example.com.
Hi, mr streat, I was wondering if you were willing to sell some of your models, such as: The ak 47, mini uzi, Lee Enfield sniper rifle, M249 PARA,SPAS 12 shotgun, and the steyr aug. To discus prices, postage, and other factors, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
hi jack you are soo awesome i try making guns that shoot today i made an mp5 doesnt shoot could send an ldd (lego digital desinger)or instructions thank you! email@example.com
or you can make instructions for all of us or an ldd!!!!!
If he were to make the instruction, he would put a link out for the DLL file, not send it to everyone induvidualy, and why not be creative and remake the firing and loading mech from one of his many guns and then build your own gun around it! LEGOs are ment for creativity! Geez!
That is what I'm doing!
this si my favourite gun the lee enfield i mean and i would just like to say this gun is awsome also im making my own lee enfield soon but it will be diffrent to this because it will shoot and eject shells and hopefully have a built in magazine like the real thing
EVERYBODY IS ASKING FOR YOU TO SEND INSTRUCTIONS TO THEM, BUT YOU SHOULD MAKE THE INSTRUCTIONS AND POST THEM ON MOCPAGES FOR ALL OF YOUR MOST POPULAR LEGO GUNS. YOU GUYS SHOULD CHECK OUT MY HK416 CQB IF YOU LIKED JACK'S, AND I AM MAKING A SNIPER AND THE DEADLINE SHOULD BE IN ABOUT 2 WEEKS.
omg dude..... this gun is so by far one of the best lego guns i have ever seen! can you please send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org please????? just at least a basic video on how to make the mechanism or something close to the mechansim.....? and sorry for the long coment...
The quality of this weapon is amazing. There is a clean design with attention paid to accuracy. Bravo! I'm impressed on many levels. Do you mind sending me some instructions or just some more pictures.
i looovvveee this gun, its so alsome, but its realy hard to make whit only the pictures. could you pleassssseeeee send me the building gui or plans or wat ever send to email@example.com
(sorry forr my type fails, i am not very good in englich, cause i am dutchXD
btw sorry if all the people asking for instructions r annoying u and im helping, but it would be nice if u could post the instructions somewhere (it would solve all ur problems) plus it would make me work in school harder so that i could afford the parts( or the gun if u sell it to me).
Nicely done! The photos are very complete. I'd like to see a top view of the entire bolt assembly if you have one.
Its not too clear how the bolt (not the rods that hold the bolt) chambers a round and how the hammer falls to propel the round out the barrel.
More shots of the barrel would be nice too!
Ok, I know you've gotten about 5 billion comments asking for instructions, but I have to ask too: Can you send me either an LDD file (if you have it) or photos of it under construction? I think I can get most of it from the pictures on the site already, but I need to be sure.
my email is firstname.lastname@example.org
I think this is the best Lego creation ever and as everbody dose if you could please find the time in your day to email the instructions to me at email@example.com it would be realy great if you could thanks
i also think you creation is great and everybody has already ask for instructions.....i also would like a set if possible so i may build it to go in my collection of real enfields.....thanks
Fantastic job! This is by far the best rifle I have seen on here. I like all the different design features you incorporated. Great work once again. For all of you people asking for "instrukshunz plz!", maybe you should learn to read and try building it yourself. He has said numerous times he doesn't have the time to make any, and he doesn't even have the gun. You trying to recreate his gun is not fun, and isn't what LEGO is about. Try building one on your own and use his as a REFERENCE.
Saw this on Kotaku, so I decided to look ya up.
Glad I did!
These guns are simply amazing!
Beats anything I've ever made, lol.
Wouldn't mind getting some Instructions for this.
This or the Barret .50 would be great!

Not if it's a No. 4 Mk I (T) or the 7.62 NATO derivative, the L42A1. Centerline scope that interferes with loading from stippers on the top. True, the scope mounts from the left side, but it's centered.
Hi I'm new and I want to put up some real working guns and i've been looking at your youtube vids for the last 10 days and still can't figure out the mech can you please send me instrucions and a vid on how the machine works? if you do my email is firstname.lastname@example.org!
you are my favourite builders... no words for you great job :) if you have some instruction of you guns and if you want mail me you make me very happy :) the rifle and the shootgun are my favourite :)) thank s
Boy jack..you always give it your all. This is a great bolt action magazine fed sniper rifle... I have tried forever to make something somewhat as good as this, but I always failed...I can never seem to piece it together myself...im better with rbgs...but brick shooters are the challenge....also, I've been trying to make a scope as cool as yours....I have a question, is the scope see through where you can actually see out it? Please comment back and tell me. Also, once again, the mechanism is genius, I just cannot figure the workings of building it. Well, keep on up to your superior skills, and happy building. -Tommy
mostly 5M, with the occasional pair of .5M supporting struts on each side, making it 6M. the stock is 3M, and the bolt also makes the gun a bit wider.
and kill dew, i havent a clue. anyway, lego prices vary a lot, depending on where you buy it
guys, your all asking 4 the mech, but im sorry, but i dont have the time, the LDD skills, or even the gun (anymore)! the best i can do is say watch the vid - it has a clip near the end that shows how the mechanism works. you might b able 2 work it out from that

okay I got a couple of questions. How far do you pull out the bolt, and how long does the elastic on the bolt strech approx?
OMG! I am shocked, I look at the guns on youtube and they are, well..., um amazing but then I come here and theirs looks like my gun (not good) compared.
Not forcing you to but PLEASE make instructions or at least for the 'mechignism'.
My e-mail: Michaelcj@optusnet.com.au
You could actually sell the instructions on the web or maybe in a book and sell it to a retailer this gun rocks so much!
could you post more pics of the mechinism, im having truble reconstructing it for my own weapon. By the way how long did it take to make the mechinism, its pretty complicated.

One more question. When you pull the bolt back, something (i don't know the name) pushes a round out of the magazine farther inside the gun. But you when the bolt is pulled back to the limiet, the round just moves up??? How does that work??

I have to say. MOCPAGES takes gun building to a higher level than youtube. But, dude this gun so good that I woudln't even uploaded here and just show only on contests. IT IS AMAZING!!!!! I took a close look at your mechansim and I get the idea of it bit still there are some things not clear to me. I don't know if you still have this gun, but can you send me plz some pictures of the trigger mechanism (cause that was hidden:P). email@example.com is my adress
YOU ARE MY FAVOURITE BUILDER!!!
sorry jasper, i broke it like a month ago... but u can see the trigger mech - on the last mech pic there is a brown L-shaped piece. when the trigger is pulled, this piece is rotated anti-clockwise, and the longer end pulls a protruding piece out of the way of the bullet in the barrel, and the gun shoots - simple!
Quoting Austen Cordero
one more question: where did you get all those technic pieces?
well iv been building with lego since i was about 3 and now im 14, so thats 11 years of building/buying lego. and in response to your other Q, its actually 5 studs wide so the band does have enough room
i am not lying when i say you are the best lego gun builder on mocpages. Right everybody?
Just how did you manage to fit the whole mechanism in 4 studs wide even with a rubberband hitting the bullets? Doesnt the rubberband need room to fire? this was the only part about the gun i could not understand
This is why you are one of my favorite builders. I love it! The complexity of the mechanism, all operated with one swift motion. Simply amazing. And it looks real too! Is it accurate? How far does is shoot? It would be appreciated and an honor if I had the instructions to the mechanism not the whole gun just the mechanism. If you want to and I wouldn't blame you if you didn't could you send them to me at firstname.lastname@example.org? Please?

holy crap man, god you're talented, i love this gun.. excellent job!
What I think is that you should be lucky you can make stuff like that... Believe it or not, I see how that works. it's exactly the same as your crossbow except the cambering mech is slightly different.
