Starbucks Coffee
[If you've stopped by, please take a second to rate it and leave a comment! Ideas and criticisms welcome.] --- New high quality photos are now up. Hopefully the interior will really stand out now. This is a Starbucks which has taken up residence in Brickchester. It has a unique design which is not typical of stand alone Starbucks buildings, however it features traditional Starbucks colors. The sign on the front of the building was inspired by the sign on LEGO's Cafe Corner set, and done in a similar way. Round 1x1 trans-green plates were stacked up vertically along with grey 1x1 plates to fill in the gaps between the lettering.
About this creation

Starbucks Coffee!

Angled photo.

Here you can see the drive-thru/walk-up, of course when it is attached to the city permanently the fence will be removed. The drive thru-lane will start on the opposite side of the building and come around the back before pulling up to the window and then exiting by taking a left around the sign pillar.

Here are some shots of the interior, starting with the employee on coffee duty. Coffee duty responsibilities also include (apart from handling coffee orders), pastries, bagels, espressos and the rest of the menu's beverages.

The employee on register duty is currently handling an order. The customer has ordered a large pepperoni pizza. Despite the fact that Starbucks does not serve pizza somehow this exchange is still happening.

Over here a man sits on the white leather couch with drinking a coffee before he heads to work. He has a meeting today with the executives of the Sully Bradivan Financial Corporation about some local government legislation that Sully Bradivan is currently hoping will pass, allowing a tax on withdrawals of large sums of money without a months notice as well as a bill legalizing gambling. Their plan is to then build a large casino within the surrounding vicinity, and cash in on compulsive citizens who need to pay back gambling debts. As for the couch, Starbucks executives feel high end couches like these add a sophisticated feel that attracts the more bourgeoisie crowd who wouldn't want to be seen at a Dunkin' Donuts.

Here is a shot of the overall interior. The man over to the right sitting at the table is on less important business, he is enjoying a muffin and large house blend before he heads to work at the Radio Shack outlet in the mini mall as the shift leader for today.

Here's a shot I took for fun looking in through the window on the side opposite the drive-thru.

Add me to the list of people who think the sign is stunning. I love the 1x1 tiles inside - a very nice, if expensive, touch. Lee.

Haha, I will definitely keep it blocky! Also, thanks for the comment! I will also be checking out some more of your stuff as well, I got a list of a few people whose stuff I've promised to look at in depth when I have some time (right now its 4 in the morning so I'm a bit overdue for some sleep, taking advantage of a day off tomorrow). Also I do believe we have a Camden town nearby (I know there's one out in New Jersey which is a bit further away but I think I remember passing through one around here on a skii trip). Anyways, thanks again, I'll drop some comments on your stuff soon!

Funny you should drop by my site today. I was checking this one out yesterday and something came up and I forgot to add a comment. Thanks for reminding me. I like this little number. Sterling hit the nail on the head with the sign. Nice work there. Oh, and funny coincidence, I have a friend who lives in the same basic area. I think the name of the town is Camden or something like that. Anywhoo, gonna go check out some of your other stuff. Keep it blocky! ~ chris.

Sweet! Great inside details including the tiled floor. I also like the way you did the 'Starbucks' sign using the 1x1 round plates. Excellent work here.
