Later, when Episode II was released, I scrapped my original bust... until they held a sculpture contest at FBTB, for which I built this new, improved version as an entry. I don't know what happened to the contest... FBTB's forums broke down in the middle of it and I don't know who won, if anyone. I doubt it was me anyway.
Well, maybe the jetpack. Yeah, the jetpack still looks nice, I think. The colors on this bad boy are not based on the Empire Strikes back OR REturn of the Jedi, by the way. Nope, these are based on the seldom-seen Prototype Boba Fett armor. I still have several Kenner action figures of Boba Fett in his prototype armor, and it will always be my favorite for some reason.
Despite the color scheme being based on the prototype armor, the pose itself is based on the scene in Return of the Jedi where Fett gets the end of his blaster cut off by Luke's lightsaber. I have a rotating special edition sculpture figure thingy of Fett in that pose (I'm not sure what they're called), and that is what I based this LEGO on.
I never could seem to satisfy myself with the legs, even after I put them in this sort of staggered position. They're way too blocky and weird looking. But hey, sculptures aren't my specialty, and I built this really fast...
