Karzahni was the brother of Artahka. He and his brother were some of the first creations of the Great beings, and both got there own island. While Artahka received a heavenly paradise Karzahni was left with a trecherous volcanic hell. karzahni's job was too repair broken matoran but he was no good at it and gave them weapons for defense and sent them to new islands.
