Harpy Air Superiority Fighter

About this creation
The Harpy is the last conventional jet fighter produced by the Republic of T.O.R..Features include fully retractable landing gear, a 20 mm cannon, six air to air missiles, and a heat dissipating exhaust system.

Torries pull a security detail for the state of the art fighter.

A winchester rifle, he'll be needin that fer killin squirrels an such!

Moments later this Harpy was destroyed on a test flight near the border with the Iron Reich. The Reich has always claimed that the aircraft was downed by one of it's Sky Web Laser towers.

However, a thorough investigation determined that the fighter suffered a catastrophic engine failure after an excessive quantity of "bird dander" was sucked into the right intake.

Have you ever seen a better rear end?

She's willing and ready, but are you man(or woman) enough to fly her?

   Something strange going on here.

   How about some tail.

Steve Galveston flying second seat. A man barely alive...we can rebuild him!

This project suffers from the backyard table effect.

The precious fuel was hidden in the drop tanks.

   It's "Beefy" It's "Succulent"

Sorry! The material in this frame was of a very sensitive nature and has been omitted. The photographer was subjected to a minor surgical procedure and now spends much of his time eating paste in the art department of a state run facility!

   Yeah!

   enough already

   Ventral action

   I can't take it anymore!

   oooooooooooooooooh they retract!

Nice shape and interesting air intakes. That cannon looks a tad big to be only 20mm!

the end of the cockpit should have a longer, more gradual slope, but otherwise very good. the intakes are nicely done along with the weapons hard points. i love the hard points with the three missiles on them. overall awesome

Very nice indeed! I've tried numerous times to make a modern day fighter, and failed miserably. I just can't get that %$^#*# shape right.

Looks great! Kind of a F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter with some F-22 Raptor and F/A-18E Superhornet mixed in (Yes, I really am a plane-nerd). I do have some minor gripes, as someone mentioned, a bit of a raise in the center would greatly benefit the cosmetics. The gear's good, as are the intakes. A good thing to add would be internal bays, which would give it stealth fighter characteristics, but they're tough, I know from my F-22. Good work, keep building, and watch out for those pesky untrained Iron Reich gunners. ;-) -- -- Michael

wow. sweet. It looks like an F/A-18 from the sides and front(sorta) and sorta like an F-22 from the top. ITs SA-WEEET

The wing shape is very nice and the underwing engine details look very good as well however i would like to see more shape on the top, with just the canopy and the tails sticking up off a flat studed plate looks kind of bare. But the remainder of the design is so good that i give it 4 heads.
