Sports Truck and Speed Boat
This is a contest entry for Raphael G's Mini Garage Speedboat contest. Though technically this isn't mini garage scale, it's still got the speedboat, trailer, and a hefty sports truck! I went the extra mile because the speedboat was the only object specified in the contest. Please review!
About this creation
front view with all items set up.

Rear view as a whole.

Front view of the truck by itself. This is the first time I've used a red/dark red color combination.

Rear view of sports truck including a trailer hitch.

The trailer by itself.

Front view of the racing boat. My favorite part is the orange spoiler-like thing in front of the large motor.

Back view of the boat. Notice how some pieces are normal, and others upside-down. That's explained in the next picture.

The boat uses a similar construction to a smaller boat I built in the past using technic pins to invert pieces and get the nice hull shape.

Hmm, boat is very good, but the truck has an odd front end

This looks great! in fact the only thing that I see that need improvement is the truck, it looks a tad bit crunched, otherwise salvaging that speedboat from flickr looks well here.

I like the idea of the parts put upside down for the boat.

p.s. I use those pins a lot to flip stuff upside down, too. Too bad they don't make them with the 'pin' side short enough to stick into a plate as well, to stick two plates together. Oh well, nice job.

Hey, sorry I haven't commented on your stuff in awhile. I think this is as cool as 4-wide can be. The truck is almost an SUV; I would have kept it more 'pickupy' looking. and the boat trailer is like awesome, not to mention the boat. Great job man, nice work. -matthew-

I love those tiny thingys you always build! this one is from your best at this scale... I specially like the color combo at the truck, and of course the color of the boat! I wish I have a lot of orange pieces enough to build a large scale car :( any way I like also the technique you used at the boat... all in all one of my favorite MOCs at this scale, keep it up my good man >>> peace.. Fofo ;)
