A third journal of my Falcon
About this creation
This time around I've added more detail to the turret. I added the center octagon thing and the window for the turret. I added a corridor to the right docking ring and more detail for the game table. PLEASE give me some ideas for the hull.
The rear view, nothing different here.
The interior of the rear of the Falcon.
Finally I got the turret done. After referencing some other LEGO Falcons and looking at some pics, I got a satisfying result.
The cargo hold (I think).
The corridor. I'll make the walls taller.
The game table. I haven't added the other chair yet.
A view in between the "mandibles".

I wasn't trying to make it mini-fig scale, I would need a lot more right colored bricks. An yeah, I've seen the interior pictures, I'm actually using one as a reference right now! It has like the hallways numbered, showing where everything is, it's really cool. By the way, what do you thing of my booth on my ship? I would like your opinion. Thanks |

The interior is looking good! By the way, I tore apart my Falcon yesterday because I'm making a WAY better version. I'll post the first construction journal today! You'll be notified when it's up. An d I"m deleting the other Falcon pictures I have uploaded, so if you wanna keep some for reference, do it by at least 7:30pm, Eastern Time, cause thats when they will be deleted. Thanks |

Looks awesome so far! However, I agree with whats been already said in thet the "mandibles" (we all know they are really called amr-thingies) need to be smaller, and they could probably do with some details... Great work so far though! Don't give up! |

Quoting Georg Pichler
I don't know whether I should say this or better be quiet, but there are two problems with your falcon.
1. The forward mandibles are too big.
2. The round hull needs to be wider.
You are still constructing, so it wouldn't be a big deal to adjust it.
Look at this graphic at wookieepedia ;)

I would suggest to make the hull wider (the round hull is as wide as the cockpit reaches out) and reduce the mandibles by at least one wing plate. I guess it will do fine, if you at least make the mandibles smaller and move the cockpit in.
Perhaps you should also consider, that the mandibles aren't on the lower half, but mounted centrally. Everything is axial, except for the cockpit tube.
So, don't take this for spamming, that's not my intention.
I don't take this for spamming, thanks for the advice. Also, I kinda knew that the mandibles needed to be higher. But thanks for the advice about the size of the mandibles and the width of the body.

really good, but something seems off about the thruster. i think its too curved, it shouldn't contour completely with the natural curve of the ship. |
