Blocktropolis Updated Finally
the new addition that all of you who cared enough have been waiting for!
About this creation

Blocktropolis, newly built on dark green baseplates this time, after "the accident".

As you may have noticed, I swapped a portion of town with the airport, mostly because it came to my attention that airports aren't built on beach front property.

This is the new area where most of the stuff has been happening.

This is the Sunrise hotel, design credit from Shannon Young, the brave and handsome unbelievable genius who smells really nice. Thanks Shannon.

Here further along the street paralleling the ocean, we have the movie theater, (the tan one) the aquarium, (the blue cube) and Big Bob's Seafood Bucket, (the small one).

Here we have our construction crane, recently reincarnated in minifig scale in my town folder, building the new Parkveiw Suites...

Across the street from, (for lack of a better name, I apologize New York City) Central Park.

Moving on to the city center, here we have Harry's Happy House, A place for parents to dump their kids while they go out to some clubs. Contrary to popular belief it has nothing to do with Harry Potter.

This is the Blocktropolis clock tower, one of my favorite buildings from the new addition.

This is iceman's pub. Where you can order almost any type of drink, on ice. Also in an ice cup, and while you're sitting on an ice chair. In fact, the whole interior is made of ice. Pack the parkas kids!

Here is another cluster of buildings. The brown one is Shannon's Bar and Grill, since his Shannonia was such an inspiration to me, I thought I would commemorate him with a restaurant. The bigger gray building is the Blocktropolis Intelligence Agency, or BIA, No windows, that black bulb on top is a radar dish. The blue one with the silver roof is the lego store, rebuilt and relocated after "the accident.

The big white and blue one is the giant indoor ski area. The small brown one is the lumberjack club, their specialty, roast log in a sawdust reduction sauce.

Here is the Blocktropolis military base ,including a long-range missile launching system, giving it supreme power over any other nation to try and invade.

The general population are kept away from the base by a guard office set up along the winding road leading to the base, and by a natural barrier, the mountains. If you're wondering what all those green sticks are, they are my lame approximation of trees, I ran out of the green 1x1 small cones needed for better trees :(

As long as were on the topic of my new landscaping, here we have the great cliffs outside of the harbor, an extreme hazard to all shipping, and the reason for the lighthouse.

Speaking of being a danger to shipping, here is my little shipwreck, based on an early small wooden vessel.

Well thats all for now! This will probably be the last update, unless I get some of those small green cones to replace all 48 of the embarrassing trees. Please leave comments. :)

Quoting Tracy Bowersox Nice city! A good assortment of different kinds of buildings. Although, if that's a boat out on the water, it's REALLY massive. Seems out of scale.
some of today's cruise ships can be as big as four football fields, which is helpful bacause I also have a microscale football field you can compare it too, do the math before you complain.

Very nice microcity. I especially like the military facility. And the trees are not much of a problem if you ask me :P. I'm also going to post a microcity soon, but it will be very different from this one....., Jelle

Very cool. It's always nice to see some real football fans around here, ones that actually cheer for a good team, unlike the Bears. Thanks for the comment!

Very cool. Nice diversity in your buildings. And some great ideas for elements within the city...the crane, the day care, the defense area...all cool little details that really make this MOC sing.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to remove one smiley for your lack of faith, trust, size and love in 100% LEGO Stores. Other than that, great! Good day

Brilliant design, that's gotta be one of the better microcities around. All that green makes my eyes feel good. =) Oh, and those green cones are a pain, aren't they? I didn't have any until the third Luseville post...if I remember right.

You are a true gentleman, and mayor of a fine city, Sir Thomas. The only thing that worries me is that long range missile system, seeing as how Shannonia has no military presence as of yet... may I apologize again for my inadvertent snub of your polite request to borrow a building design? I swear, I've already fired my secretary, it was all her fault...
