TECHNIC: Linear Actuator with old Technic parts
Linear Actuator build myself. with building instructions
About this creation
I haven't got the new TECHNIC "Linear Actuator (x1918cx1)" from the sets 8294, 8295 and 8264, so I tried to build one myself. That's it:

8 Bushes TYPE 2 AND 1 Bush TYPE 1

Use here the Bush TYPE 1.

Quoting Aaron Lai Looking at the comment below mine, you have lots of talent, but i might ask you, what exactly does a linear actuator do?
# a linear actuator converts the spinning of an axle into an up/down move, like a pneumatic cylinder, see http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/x1918cx1

I am the founder of PCS Edventures Educational System, worldwide. We use LEGOs to learn about mechanical principals and I want to feature your 'linear Actuator" "as is" when I go in 30 days, as an example of what creative thinking can do. I can't promise money, but I will promise tons of exposure and fame. I will mnzke certain that you get full credit for the model. Here is my addresses. www.mcshane.patrick9@gmail.com and 8211 Ustick Road; Boise, Idaho, 83709. You may find me on Facebook and Squibd (where I feature what my students have done with Legos and I would love to include you in that issustrious group.) I am excited to hold the actuator in my hands and work it. I tried to build by looking at the pictures, but I don't have enough parts to complete the project or a parts list. It's up to you. I'll sign all legal documents to protect you as you find necessary and return the unit when I am finished in Saudi Arabia. Thanks, Patrick McShane. I've got photos on YouTube, as well, on some of my Lego creations, take a look...I'm "for real" and honesty and integrity drives how I must deal with people like you, all over the world, otherwise my system would be killed off by people on the Internet who would say that I was dishonest, or a thief of ideas.

Quoting Vimal's LEGO Pretty cool. As for the clutch, you could use the white clutch gear - but I'm not sure its available in the current sets.
yes, I need a clutch. I've many of those white gears, pE in the barcode truck.

Clever. You're very very good at technic mechanics. I'm guessing it needs a clutch for when it reaches max (and min) extension though
