3vil Battleship
A 3vil or Space Skulls themed battleship done in microscale.
About this creation
Thank you for checking out my creation! I made this 3vil themed battleship as part of a series of 3 microscale starships I made. The other 2 were a Blacktron destroyer and an Exploriens themed starship. The design for this ship began with trying to incorporate the skull shaped brick into a model. So the obvious choice for a theme was the sinister 3vil (or Space Skulls). Mark Sandlin's Asmodeus served as inspiration and my goal, as with most microscale ships, was to create something very difficult to pull off in minifig scale.

Just like the other 2 ships, the 3vil battleship is comparable in scale to a Miranda Class starship from Star Trek. It is built around the powerful faz energy cannon, which is concealed by the skull in front. It has faz cannons on the top and sides for a wide firing field. However it is lacking in missiles and torpedos. The ship is essentially a pirate vessel designed to subdue and capture other ships for boarding.

The jaw opens to reveal the main faz energy cannon.

Really cool, light battleship. I like the afterburners and the coloring. It would be really nice to see the ship with a standard red or black nose cone instead of the skull. It would fit in well with my space ships on my page. Great build, I hope to see more soon.

How come I've missed your page?? This is the best thing happened today. IMO you spaceships rock, you're one skilled builder that's for sure. This ship especially caught my eye since I've endulged in the Space Skulls theme myself lately. Very nice lines and great attention to detail paid on this one.

Darn you Mark Kelso!, you beat me to it AGAIN, that the eighth time? ....ANYWAY. I have EXACTLY to say what Mr. Kelso said. except i am gonna say this: you are awesomely creative, and you have inspired me to start my own SHIP, one that i have been planning for a while, i am in the process of MLCad'ing it, and i hope to be able to nick the parts off bricklink. ~Martin

First glance, i thought this ship was unbelieveable. The dropship and the docking system!?!?!?! I seriously think my jaw hit the ground. Great work Dan.

A black pirate space ship with thin red stripes running along the sides can't go wrong! The boarding ship and clamp are good additions. I also like the mouth gun. The skull on the front is intimidating, along with the general color scheme. Great work.
