Unsatisfied with the performance of the APU-19 Mk I, which was said to only be able to reach its top speed of 50mph with "A stiff tail wind", The US Army issued specifications to United Arms Ltd. for an advanced model with the same basic function, but with a more powerful engine and that would support a heavier primary weapon. The result was the APU-19 Mk II series. (Chainsword hilt inspiration by Will Jarman)
About this creation
APU-19 Yeti in snow cammo scheme.
APU-19 Mk II:
Main armament: 1x machine gun, located on top.
Rounds: 1,000x 9mm
Traverse: 250 degrees.
ROF: 1,000 rounds/minute
Secondary armament: 2x armor-piercing or high-explosive cannons, located left and right of the cockpit.
Rounds: 20x 20mm
Traverse: N/A
Max velocity: 50 mph (guaranteed)
Max/min armor thickness: 20mm/5mm
Crew: 1x human, no accomodations
In order to accomodate the larger engine and still maintain the same dimensions, the Mk II uses an external ammunition belt.
Though the primary weapon remained the same caliber, the rate of fire (ROF) was increased through the use of a multi-barreled configuration. Because of the ammo belt restrictions, the primary weapon lost some traverse.
