MOC-off with Xele Deadly: Post Apoc water vehicle
Professor: "Yes, that sequence of words I just said made perfect sense."
About this creation
My entry for said contest. A bunch of future-thugs have assembled an armoured speedboat from old tractor tyres and out-board motors. Yeah, believable huh? I was stuck for a while trying to come up with a "boat" shape till I looked at some tyres and thought: hell yeah! Xele Deadly should have his entry up soon. Best of luck Xele!

That's so cool! The overall look is so nice. I especially like the way you used the tires. (Thanks for your comment on my hovercraft).

very menacing looking water-craft! But where's the commentary on the atrocities of war I was expecting from Lego Plato?

Hmmm, very nice! Best of luck to both of you in your MOC-off (if it isn't already over with). Would you happen to be up for a MOC-off Shannon? I wouldn't mind one myself, infact, I'm all up for one!

Absolutely wonderful Shannon, a prime example of why we don't mess with Shannon when he's building post-apocalypse! More reasons why this is awesome have been stated on Flickr.

Great idea! Use of pieces like never before. LOVE the BRICKARMS, don't care what others think, but there too much fun to be BAD for LEGO, I use them. Clean design is what LEGO is all about, not too much clutter. WAY TO GO !!!!

Win. I love the tread cover in the back. And the outboard motors look great... almost too clean for post-apoc.

But I thought we were using Ocean's big mean machine, Shannon! =) Still, it wouldn't be worth risking the sharks...

This is great. It only needs banjo music in the background to complete the effect. ;)

Shan - you've got to quit MOCcing off so much.

JD - You ever tried approaching the Gates Mansion from the water? A swarm of sharks with frikkin' lasers will attack before you can get anywhere near! And then you have to listen to your friend whine about how he's going to explain the damage to his dad, who let him borrow the boat. It's just not worth it.

Awesome! That turret gun looks great and the idea of using the tank treads as a 'cabin?' (I don't know what you'd call it). It looks like old corrugated metal. The engines look good too. Personaly I think it could do with a bit of protective panneling or some more details, but it still looks sgreat and holds true to the post-apoc junkyard pieced together look. Nice job! Peace - Patrick

Near to where I live is a place called Apple River. You rent giant inner-tubes and float down the river with other drunken fools. This would make the trip way more interesting. And maybe profitable. fun. see ya. garth
