One of the many hazards of life at sea is sometimes rough weather, and the crew of this Pirate ship had found themselves caught in a merciless hurricane.
About this creation
In the aftermath of a terrible storm, the wreckage of a Pirate ship is washed ashore along with some of it's crew.
Most of the crew members clung to whatever debree they could, while a few managed to float in some crows-nest's.
There's not much left of their ship - except for their main sail, a broken mast, and fragments of the ship's timbers.
Here we see two unconscious survivors laying on a portion of the ship's hull, while two others lay beneath it ...
Oh, and here comes two more - floating on a gentle wave towards shore.
Looking down the shoreline, things might look alittle grim ... but at least the sun is shining and the sea is calm now.
Ooops ... did i say "alittle grim" ? ... i imagine this scene here couldn't possibly be anymore morbid , sarcastic , or ironic.
And ... umm (yeeesh) ... if you look past these other two corpses, you can see 2 more survivors in the background ... Yay !
Yep, they're moving (alittle) ... oh, and look behind 'em ... the PARROT is alive ! ... what more could a Pirate ask for !

Good job, but the ship is not his own creation, it is from 7776 The Shipwreck aquaraiders set. I know that because I have the ship too. Otherwise, great build. |

Cool! Thank goodness the parrot survived, I think the pirates would lose their will to live without it! :) Anyway, good build, it's full of character, and I love the way you made the ship's keel. |

Glad the parrot made it. The strewn wreckage and dazed survivors give this that "What the heck just happened to us?" feel to the MOC. The bits and pieces are placed just right. |

Ok so whose the idiot who let Blindbeard stear the ship? I like the use of the arches to create the skeleton of a ship's hull, I've seen it done on a few other MOC's and it definitely looks great. Now show us what the ship looked like before the wreck! :P |

I love it! The guys floating down river in barrels remind me of this one scene in "The Hobbit" (a book about hobbits from lord of the rings) I also like the ship wreck and how all that's left it the frame, a few pieces, and the sail. The island and river looks great too, but the river would look a lot better if it had clear blue pieces, but those would take a while to get. ANYHOW, nice job Darren! |
