Our tears fall dry as moondust
Built for Keith Goldmans 'You Control the Action' competition. The theme is sci-fi horror, this is about as horrific as I could imagine.
About this creation
An Earth Force Drumfire Dropship hits a Copernicus High School bus as it exits from Copernicus Moonbase. This incident leads to a famous speech by the Dome Administrator and is a major factor in The Moon gaining Independence.

The Drumfire, the schoolbuss and the Airlock were all built intact first with the sole aim of destroying them in this collision!

^My favourite shot, it's a bit hard to make out what's going on, but it's dynamic!

^I like this shot a lot too. I think because it's an angle where it's really hard to see the structures that support the MOC and there seem to be mini-figures being throw all over the place.

Boom shake tha' room - Ooo! A skeleton.

Wreckage in motion.

^Bad hair day... bad head, body and feet day too.

"Ack! That doesn't look good." (His visor is invisible, it's only his anti-glare second visor thats up!)

^Burn baby, burn.

^Head shot!

^rear of action... nothing dodgy mind you.

^ The individual ships and the Copernicus Moonbase Airlock.

WOW! This is marvelous! Legos aren't designed for strange angles, but you did a great job posing these two ships crashing into each other. I love how there is fire and wreckage streaming around the gunship, as if there are still pieces of the school bus falling off it. (Also, I'm a total sucker for dramatic backstories!)

Looks good. I love the way it's cut through the bus. The guy near the airlock door looks like he's enjoying the crash.

This is one of the first MOC's I saw on these pages a few months back, and one of the most inspiring. You work is amazing. Your color balance is very artistic. Perfect MOC. Eric.

Simply amazing. I like the idea of a car crash in space. That would really suck in space...

You are a great builder. This is a really clever idea. I like the school bus it looks really futuristic. The fire and explosions of the crash are also great. I like the red bushes that are the kids heads exploding. It is a nice grusome touch. I know that sounds wierd.

This is nothing short of amazing. The idea seems simple enough but the way you placed all the pieces and really thought through how both ships would be damaged shows and just makes this better. I especially like predicaments of the various students.

I have to say, the heads exploding due to the preasure, while realistic, is kinda.... Well. However, the rest of the detail on here makes up for that gory detail. Great work - Callum

You are definitely the best space builder in the cold infinity of our Lego universe. Superb diorama, both the ships are top notch, and the landscape and architecture make for an unforgettable scene. All those burning children getting sucked from the exploding bus is a great spectacle. Excellent job!

Well, I can think of ONE thing more horrifying. But it involves Kelso and a banana hammock... this is not the place. I LOVED this on it's own and then you add the vehicles and WOW! Great work sir! ~ Chris.

Magnificent! I loved this creation. Cool starships, cool action. But for me one of the main points is the text. Gives an entire background to this frozen moment. Perfect.
