This is a Peterbilt 346 road tractor. Only 10 or 11 of these were built in the early 70's.

About this creation

The drive shaft enters between the two axles to spread out the power evenly, instead of having the torque go through the front axle first.

Brown leather interior with bench seat.

I used an XL for driving, and a medium pf motor reduced by (2) worm gears to make the steering very slow and precise.

There is a hitch-pin with a chain on the front and the back so the truck can move any trailer or dolly that my red tractor uses. 5th wheel too of course.

I like the look of trucks with the "set-back" front axle, and these trucks have the axle all the way under the driver's seat. This gives the truck a shorter wheelbase and a tighter turning radius which makes backing/maneuvering a trailer easier. I plan to build a few trailer to use with this truck. Exelent ! I love truck especialy in old design with stud ! I buy many studfull yesteday, beacause I love this type of design. Do you have suspensions of your truck ? Great job ;)

Thanks for the comment Nico. For this truck I didn't do any suspension because I wanted maximum sturdiness to support the heavy log trailer I'm building for it. If you have any ideas for a suspension system that is very rigid/sturdy with no slop (no twisting, no slack) I'll try it out on this truck! Thanks again.
