This is my first MOC.
It contains an introduction and an overview of my city. I will post more MOC's which will contain details, and furniture pictures.
About this creation
Welcome to the city of Kennemerburg. It is a fictional city located in the Netherlands.
It all started when we moved into our new home...
I saw my room, and thought... Wow.... This would be a nice place for a LEGO city.
And so I started building Kennemerburg.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The main photo contains the inner city. I'll highlight every single piece in later MOC's
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here you see the airport of Kennemerburg, which is an extended version of set 10159. On the left you can see the apartment building, and, of coarse, a windmill.
This is the pretty little school, PCC Kennemerburg, you can also see the Kennemerpark.
At the front there is the police station, beyond that there is the old catholic hospital.
Here is the typical old city zoo of Kennemerburg. On the backside you can also see the "Goethe-Library" .
Welcome to the city gate, the main entrance of the old centre of Kennemerburg. This gate withstood many wars and attacks, but the wall next to it is now in ruins.
This is the left side of the "Stationsplein" (station square). It contains an Underground station, a statue, and on the left the local theatre called "Carré".
This is the right side of the Stationsplein. Here is the market of Kennemerburg. There is also an Italian restaurant called "Ristorante Mario" . And(of coarse)the station.
"This is an official LEGO set, and i'm planning to make my own". On the right you can see the museum.

I like this, because:
1.It's built very well
2.It's intricate in its own way
3.You were able to use your older sets and integrate them into any new sets
4.It was planed good
5.And you have real world brands to make it realistic, like the DHL truck
6.It's an awesome city!

Hello Jelle, Congratulations with your Kennemerburg city. It looks very good! And with typical Dutch design items. Especially Carré is very good. Please, let me know when you have finished your own station. |

Hi Jelle, this is pretty neat looking! A simple, but still capturing style in my opinion - very old-school in addition which I have always liked. There are some really cool details - like the train and subway station (indicated), some of the buildings, even a little airport - cool stuff! Steffen |
