C.S.S. Turtle - Ironclad
CSS Turtle is one of the last ironclads of the American Civil War. Built by the Confederates, equipped with a thick armor, tended to allow them regaining initiative on Mississippi. Unfortunately the war ended and the ship had not been used in action. Now (at the turn of the XIX and XX century) it is used in South America mainly as a special transport ship for hire. Among the crew you can find some veterans - e.g. captain Bee.
Model consist of two parts - surface armoured deck with guns and submerged hull with boiler, enignes and galley.

Very impressive. I'd like to see you make an Ancient Korean "Turtle" Boat. I believe they were used in the revolution.

This is really good. I like how you made the iron part of the boat. The interior is also great and highly detailed. Thank goodness boats now don't look like those iron clads. |

As Allan said, great detail -- it looks like the real thing! I didn't think that Ironclads were wood below the water, but it is YOUR creation, after all! Great job on this -- it looks fearsome! |
