Monster Hunter
More than just an average hunter. Featured in the McDo Productions film Trail, he has more than just that short tale to tell. Here in minifig form, he's ready to chase down ghouls.
About this creation

He chased down a murderous ghoul in Trail, but that's only a short part of his story. Once a big-game hunter and safari guide in Kenya, he was called in by the CIA to investigate the death of his former colleague who was studying wolves in North America. Strange bite marks and a village terrorized by a demon in the woods led him to track down and kill a rogue werewolf, starting his monster hunting career. He went on to hunt werewolves, ghouls, demons, vampires, and all kinds of supernatural beings threatening the ordinary world. His most tragic adventure occured when he chased a vampire across Russia, which ended in his fiancee being bitten by the enemy, transforming her into the very thing he had sworn to kill. Unable to kill his love, he was forced to leave her forever.

This monster hunter uses more than just a wooden cross, sivler bullets, and some garlic to get the job done. His trusty rifle always serves to shoot down monsters from afar. Duel pistols are better for close range, and a hunting knife is useful for stabbing a vampire through its undead heart. And for those really nasty ghouls that refuse to die, a fragmentation grenade is always good. Werewolves hate shrapnel!

Here he is alongside the most famous monster hunter of all time and the character that inspired him: Van Helsing! Van Helsing stands here in minifig form, the great hero who took down Count Dracula.

A trench coat, fedora, and rifle strike fear into the hearts of the supernatural and the undead. Look out for more films featuring this character, and by the way, any suggestions for a name? Watch Trail here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78orclc8bKg

Quoting Brett Fuller What do you think of HAZMAT having Indiana Jones' dad's top?
that'd work

Quoting Brett Fuller What is Trail anyway?
Short film CyborgOrc Productions and McDo Productions collaborated on. It's on youtube, but they blocked the audio. I then took the concept of a monster hunter and put into the stop motion short I posted here on this page

Quoting Brett Fuller Hmm... I don't want to make it look too much like yours, (even though it's undoubtedly one of my favorites. Where else can i find a trench coat? Do you think Indiana Jones' dad's top looks monster killer-ish?
It sort of does. It depends on what kind of feel you want from your character.

Quoting Brett Fuller Thanks for the help! But, I've just decided that I should probably go capless. Once the team is posted, I'll give you credit for your help. Would you use Indiana Jones' top if you were making a pschic, werewolf, zombie slaughtering, superhero detective? PLEASE RESPOND
If you do, I'd say you'd have pretty much used the same parts as my character. Not that that is a bad thing. I used the Indiana Jones torso because it was similair to costume we used in Trail. I think it would work fine if you want to

Quoting Brett Fuller I've been working on a team of detectives that hunt every manner of evil things from zombies to psycotic terrorists. I've always played with BIONICLE, so I'm really new to the regular LEGO, and only have to sets. I want to make a minifig similiar to this to lead the team, but don't know where to find a cape, or trench coat. PLEASE RESPOND
Capes come in sets from Star Wars to Harry Potter. They come in blacks, browns, greens, reds, and plenty of other colors. You can get one out of set, or perhaps find one online at sites like bricklink.com. A trenchcoat would have to be custom made to have the collar. I'd look up custom figs with trench coats on the internet, such as this: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/78117
