A simple platform, yet rugged an reliable enough to traverse over obstacles as high as the height of the triangular caterpillar tracks.A double motor driven system. Makes a great platform for future upgrades and additions. One which I already have in mind is to attach a CMU cam that enables the tracking rover to respond to commands and changes in the environment. Since the CMU cam upgrade is not yet available,I've added a robotic arm which enables RAT-V to grab and lift objects.
Here's a close up of the 3rd motor. Did some permanent modification to the motor cos it was damaged, hence replace all the internals with lighter, faster and a cheaper electric motor in the housing, a BAD move! It's even worse now cos the higher RPM doesn't provide enough torque for heavier objects.
