Musical Minifigs
I've always enjoyed paying homage to my favorite musicians by turning them into minifigs. Here are a few of my favorite minifig musicians.
About this creation

U2
The first rock album I ever bought was Joshua Tree in 1987. Here's U2 in 2000 from the album artwork for All That You Can't Leave Behind.

Flavor Flav
I'm really not much of a hip-hop fan, but when I got the first Vikings sets a few years ago, I knew I had to make Flavor Flav, best known as the watch-wearing member of Public Enemy and star of "Flavor of Love."

Nirvana
Nevermind changed the way I looked at music back in 1991. I bought one of the very early pressings of the CD, which was missing the hidden track at the end -- my one claim to no-longer-relevant grunge cred.

Led Zeppelin
I'm about 10 years too young to have experienced Led Zeppelin back in the 70's, so I discovered them instead as the inspiration for the artists I grew to love in the 90's and the evolution of my parents' 60's music.

The Village People
The iconic act we all love to hate was just crying to be honored by little plastic people.

The Decemberists
These days, my musical tastes run more toward indie than the grunge of my teenage years. Here's The Decemberists in pseudo-revolutionary garb. The Crane Wife is one of the best albums of the last few years.

TV on the Radio
Hagrid's beard just seemed too perfect not to use as the inspiration for this set of indie rockers.

R.E.M.
Automatic for the People is one of those perfect albums I'll be listening to for the rest of my life.

Paul's hair is darker and Ringo had a beard on the Abbey Road cover. I'm nit-picking here, love the figs and love that album!
