Read through the Teaser, and then Linear storyline. Now, as much as I like and admire the MOC, what I'm giving you the 5/5 you're about to earn is REALLY for your Writing here. Don't know if it's original work, (and don't mean to insult you by suggesting it isn't) but whomever the plot and wordcraft can be attributed to DESERVES this Rating. I don't want to detract from what is an AMAZING MOC, as a Scale Study, this alone would astonish. Fantastic thematic elements, dramatic color contrasts, I could go on (and won't). But you've taken the time to put as much ART into the writing as you have in the thoroughly impressive MOC, and this is commendable. 5/5, well-earned. Novel-quality work. Highest compliments, Nannan. =)

Unsettling yet beautiful at the same time and built on an epic scale. I've shown this to several people who've been dismissive of Lego as "just a toy" and it has totally changed their minds.

Wow, I looked at this and was shocked, very much so by the creation itself, but almost equally by the articulate commentary, just as beautiful in its own way, but as they say a picture is worth a thousand words. Overall I am impressed, the tower alone is great, but the tainted land around it really gives it a darker effect. Pure genius.

Also Awesome moc! Everytime I see it, I am amazed at it! I keep asking myself: "Is it real?" Of course it is! Great job is actually an insult for what this is. Masterpiece.

This could possibly be the first battle in the black fantasy invasion. Also, what if the whole thing started because Cyclopean Virtue had a distress beacon that activated when they dissected it. We need to establish a narrative/timeline for the whole black fantasy invasion type thing.

This is...I mean... I am at a loss for words. The story is almost a poem, the creation's size is gargantuan, and everything is just so detailed. This is absolutely beautiful. Great job.

Very deep! The story really got me thinking. Aside from the story, the build is amazing! Probably the most detail I've ever seen in such a large MOC. The central tower creates a very ominous and unknown feel to the whole thing.

Excellent. I liked the look of it as an 'abstract' piece, the column, spreading darkness and so on. It was only once I started checking the photos that i realised the scale of it! Dozens of black skeletons, the detailing on the tower panels, the spidery creatures and those poor, doomed troops. Very eloquent writing for the back-story too. Well done all round.

Your creations are such eye candy, and so fully realized it hurts! This MOC is on such a nice scale as well. Using the Russians for perspective on the evil of the Nazi party is interesting. In my opinion as the russian infantry encounter the nazi evil, Stalin had his very own in Moscow, only it wasnt black, it was red. Then again, the Americans loosed 2 of their very own. One over Hiroshima, and one over Nagisaki. Sorry to ramble,but your creations make me thoughtful indeed.

Both the build and story are very nice. The size is intense...AND I understand the black fantasy is supposed to stand for the Nazi devils, but The Russian army didn't wear helmets that looked like that or use Thompson SMGs, M1. Garand rifles, Panzerfausts, MP40s or all the other weaponry you gave these fellows. Not that I have any idea where you could get accurate Russian weapons from that time period for use with LEGO...but hey! To make a long story short(Which is really too late!) The build is great, the story great, the overall idea GREAT, the figs...could use some work, great MOC though!

Yep, epic is THE word to use when describing this. This sort of makes me fear for your safety: the feeling of the swarm quickly spreading out is captured so well here that it seems that by now your house would be covered with it!

Epic build, Nannan. The landscaping is wonderful as is the greebeling on the monolith. The writing is top notch as well...very reminiscent of you know who. Well done!

This creation, and the accompanying writing, really sends a message which I think is supremely appropriate for the end of 2009. We as a species have the incessant ability to kill each other with little reason other than that basic principle we call greed. The Lego itself is excellent: you have far too much time on your hands and far too many parts, but in your hands that isn't a bad thing.

Overall, excelent. Not that the fromer should surprise anyone, but all the while this make me wonder; Where does he get all these bricks?? (question ment to be retorical, mind you) Happy 2009 everyone!
