Actually, those are not angled plates. I used a lot of dark red 1 x 6 bricks SNOT'ed toward the front.

thomas, why did you say its an improvement, it's its own design, its different from the first one, and how can it need improvement if its a cuastom design. something needs improvement if its based off of a real thing. when mine is obviously its own design and not based off of something, sorry im practically flipping out on you, but ive seen your comments and it seems to me that you feel like everyones mediokre compared to you

That's an amazing SHIP! And in my opinion, that dark red is perfect for it! Also, the smoothness of the sides and the greebles and guns down the center are a nice contrast.
