Jedi Infiltrator
The Jedi Infiltrator was a top secret project commissioned by the Jedi Order during the last days of the Old Republic. After Darth Maul’s personnel courier ship was discovered by Gungans on Naboo, it was turned over to the Jedi for safe keeping. Years later when the Jedi needed a combat capable landing craft for transporting Jedi and Commandos into battle they ordered their technicians to custom build a prototype Jedi Infiltrator. Designers took many of the concepts of the Sith craft and modified with a Republic Military twist to produce the new prototype vehicle. First of all, the ship is heavily armed and armored for its size. Lastly, the ship has an experimental cloaking device derived directly from the one aboard Maul’s ship. Since a cloak not only renders the ship invisible, but also makes it impossible for the ships sensors to operate, preset courses or force sensitive pilots are usually required to maneuver the ship while it is cloaked. It is unlikely that the majority of production Infiltrators would ever have been fitted with a cloaking device. The Jedi Infiltrator differs from its Sith counterpart in several ways. First of all it is larger, with a small craft bay, a troop staging area, a mission briefing room and a meditation area in addition to a large control deck. Secondly, the ship is designed for more than one occupant. When the Jedi Order was eradicated by the Emperor the plans for the ship were destroyed, but a lone Jedi was able to escape with the prototype. Over the course of the next several years the Jedi known as Kupe Da’ and his loyal squad of Republic Commandos used the ship in dozens of hit and run raids on Imperial targets and for humanitarian missions in the outer rim. Kupe Da’ disagreed with the ideas of Yoda and other exiled Jedi that a chosen one would defeat the Emperor and Darth Vader saying “How can what is left of the noble Jedi sit back and let evil spread unopposed? I may not be able to bring about the downfall of the Empire, but I will fight none the less.”
About this creation
The dorsal heavy laser cannons are powerful enough to be effective against small capital ships such as frigates, but thanks to their advanced targeting sensors can also track small starfighters.

The dorsal laser cannon sits just ahead of the main control deck, which houses the pilot and navigation stations, as well as weapons control and the ships main forward sensor array.

Powerful sublight engines propel the ship up to speeds matching a Y-wing starfighter.

The loading ramp lowers to unleash Jedi and Republic Commandos.

The closed hatch is covered in thick armor plating.

The underside of the ship is covered in armor to protect it while it makes dangerous landings in hostile territory.

The small craft was designed with the intimidating wedge shaped hull to resemble Republic Cruisers.

The fixed forward weapons array has two heavy laser cannons and two proton torpedo launchers with twenty warheads each.

The ship features the typical Republic wedge design.

One double laser cannon on each of the ships “wings” protect the vessel from enemy starfighters and blastboats.

The command deck is large and heavily armored.

The main laser battery has an almost 360 degree field of fire.

The side view.

The ship carries and advanced speeder that was deemed too expensive to go into full production.

The command deck sits a pilot and a gunner/navigator. The weapon control stations are located behind the main controls so the navigator simply swings around 180 to operate them.

The interior of the ship is spartin, but it does have two beds for rest or recuperation.

The situation table is where the Jedi commander briefs his commandos on upcoming missions.

The Commandos have stolen many advanced Imperial weapons. The weapons cache is located at the aft end of the ship in the staging area.

The full staging area has four gravity absorbing seats, the weapons cache and room for a light speeder.

Wow, Kyle. You do some nice work. Thought I'd comment on this one, as the cool design caught my attention. Anyway, you asked about LEGO sellers for spare parts. I take it you've not heard of Bricklink. Well, welcome to the dark side (because once you start down this path, forever will it dominate your destiny!!!). Check out "bricklink.com"...and may God have mercy on your wallet!

This is great! The shape is definately good for a Republic ship, the colors look worn and hardened but not garbled, and the interior is neat. I agree; if the Sith have an Infiltrator, why not the Jedi?

Whoa Mr. Bartley! That is your best creation yet! I love it! Your building skills have exploded since I last saw your creations. And on such scale... *whistles*. My favorite is the aft section and nice details in the interior. I think you are ready to build a gray Imperial Landing Craft my friend. Keep up the great work.

One of your best ships! Love the weapons and the interior and I always enjoy reading your descriptions! One question: Why doesn't the ship have any turbolaser batteries?

Nice build, Kyle! I like the bit of color variation you've thrown in there. The interior work is a cool touch too, for some playability (always a plus). Good job!
