The journey was great, you will see, but now that I'm done, I am free!!
About this creation
Well that was fun. Back to castle!!
-----------------------------------------
Can you believe that I've had this thing built for like, six months? I guess it's not much compared to Shannonia's year...
So yeah, I'm backing out of the microcity world and letting Shannon continue as long as he wants. It's kinda bitter-sweet, because I want to use the pieces for something else, but then I don't want to kill this project, which is one of my favorites. *Sigh* That's why I don't keep MOCs up this long, even if I am adding on to it. They become pets.
So. About the MOC...
It is 64x64, over one-hundred buildings and around 554 grill tiles. I'm not sure how many dark gray tiles it has (for roads) but it has a lot. Lemme tell ya.
In fact, I had to make a good sized Bricklink order to finish it...When I got that box filled with tiles I was jumping more than a Kangaroo in a Hyena's offspring. I can finish it!!
Course I had to put some "Eggplant rocks" in the ocean, every good MOC has to have 'em. Actually, Phipson gave me the idea for rocks like that before Shannon put rocks in his. So I didn't copy him. =)
Alright, we're done with overall pictures for now...onto the new buildings!!
This maroon building is in the old part of town, but was not there in my first post. I thought it'd look cool next to the lake, so I used some - okay so a lot - of the tax payers money to put it in there and take away the old building.
Here is the Luseville Arts and Painting gallery. Most everything is done by the master Mark Kelso because he's the only painter the mayor knows. ^^
This little section next to the river was added to make it 32x64. Then I doubled the whole thing.

BHL = Blaircar Headquarter of Luseville. This building doesn't show the actual theme it's glory, so click here to check it out.
A bag of skittles to anyone who can guess what past MOC I used this bley building in. Anyone?
Seen here in this poor quality picture is The Diving Shop: You wanna see some big rocks...UNDERWATER? Come here! Give us your wallet and we'll give you a tube to breath through!
A little to the left of the dive shop is Fuelworks park. (You're gonna have to enlarge the picture to see it better) I made it after Gasworks park in Seattle, Washington on the shores of Lake Union...
...As seen in this picture. (Taken by me)
This skyway was really hard to make and ended up looking cluttered. Oh well...
Enlarge this picture as well. You can see several nice buildings.
My sig-fig on top of a random bley tower...
If you look closely you can see the shopping mall area. It's not hard to spot with all the cheese. =)
Here's my sig-fig again. Click here to see a picture of me. Don't we look like twins? I mean, our hats are exactly the same!
And of course, the whole time I was taking pictures of this thing, the cat that my brother brought home from work was chewing on the wires of my lamp. Give me a dog any day...
I like dogs and snakes, Chris Phipson likes butterflies, other people like cats and horses, but Keith Goldman like monkeys with hooks. And bowls of paste.
Which reminds me...go eat some paste.
Blackr!
Square Beach is the most popular spot in all Luseville to swim in salt water. If you haven't noticed, Luseville now has three bodies of water: Jewel Lake, Green River, and The Sea. (That was real original wasn't it?)

Oceanology Center of Luseville is THE place to come to touch a shark. "Wash your hands kids, the sharks don't like eating dirty ones."
This is a big red an' black building for ya'll! (That was for you, LL and Thomas boys)
The LIU temple. Nuff said. =)
The mall next to Luseville's massive boardwalk...
Pizza Shacko! Come eat here and go home eating Tums like candy!
I'm always going back to, "No, I want to keep it"! Then I see a Darkspawn MOC and I'm like, "Die! Long live castle!" But...I think it's time to end it. (I bet Shannon Young is heaving a relieved sigh right now: "He's finally out of my hair!") ^^
Luseville always seems to be cloudy...you know why? Because is was stinkin' MADE IN WASHINGTON!!!!
Well, that's it! Luseville's journey is over. Thanks a TON to Shannon Young for inventing this stuff and inspiring me. See ya next post...when Luseville is wrecked. *Sniff*
Oh yeah, and Eggplant? I would've put a giant monkey attacking it but I don't have one. Sorry. =)

That's what I call a great project. I like building in parts and finally connect them. It's nice when you don't have the time or space to build it quickly. About the MOC itself: Awesome city organization, lovely little details, amazing buildings and great landscape.
Well done! |

What?! Giving up so soon? 64x64 is only HALF of Shannonia's current size! I thought I had a worthy adversary here! Come on! EXPAND! Ah well, it was a good ride while it lasted, recycle those tiles and grills into bigger and better things, that's what Lego is all about. I know how you feel. It will be a bittersweet day when I demolish Shannonia, I always tear my MOCs apart, but that town's really grown on me... so to speak. |

"Very nice..."! This is really great, JD! The water, the rocks, all the different buildings...of course that BHL tower was the best thing, and while I have the spotlight: LET THAT BE A LESSON TO YOU LESSER ORGANIZATIONS! LUSEVILLE HAS LET THE BLAIRCAR NATION PUT A STEPPING STONE IN THIS CITY, IF YOU TOO WISH TO SURVIVE THIS CRUEL WORLD, GIVE BLAIRCAR WHAT IT WANTS, OR YOU WILL BE CRUSHED. So, JD, this creation is AWESOME, it made it to "TheBrother'sBrick" and it really shows some great details...If you had put a giant animal on it, attacking it, the best choice would have been a Crocodile. You do know that? |

Great job, JD...way to finish out a project! (Although I can't say much for your taste in art.) Don't feel bad about tearing it down, it's one of those circle of LEGO kind of things. I finally broke down my big SHIP (mainly due to the fact that I could roll the dust off the top like lint from a dryer!) and low and behold, better MOCs were made. So onward and upward JD! Great build, and now let's see some of those castles! |

Everytime I sit down and start to put some thought into Phipston Falls, you or Young post one of these and *POOF*... why bother? Oh, and I spent 3 hours and 27 minutes looking for that bley building... No skittles for me dangit! And how did you know I liked butterflies? I mean, umm... GRRRR, manly man here. ~Chris. |

if i were you, i would buy a monkey from bricklink. and if i were you i'd be awesome. anyway i received my latest bricklink order containng three monkeys yesterday and today i played around with them alot. i even built a giant boulder to chase them lol!
now about this moc:
its really awesome but im not really into mini-scale. but if u put in minifgs or animals it can be quite fun. so heres my advice: go buy yourself a monkey!

Very nice expansion. I like the photo with the clouds. Reminds me of star wars cloud city. So why does everyone have cats around these pages? I can't believe this has only been built for 6 months. Seems longer for some reason. Although I haven't kept anything built for more that 5 days ever, so 6 months is an eternity in lego years. |

You know, I'm not even going to compare this to Shannonia, because this epic microcity holds its own very well, despite its similarities to Young's. There's room for more detail, but I'm not going to hold it against you; I've never built one of these myself, but if I did, I would most likely smash it before I could complete it. Good show! P.S. at least your feline friend doesn't roll over/chew your Laygoes! |
