Here it is! The V.2 as promised. I decided I would take a few of the suggestions you guys made at the page for the first version, including those two red dots on the clip, and the longer stock that everybody seemed to want. Now remember, I've checked all over the place and couldn't find the dark grey pieces I needed to make it look exactly like the one in the game. So, this gun will most likely stay black. I've also taken out the internal hammer, because it made the frame way too fragile... It was just too easy to break the gun. Be sure to check in now and then and see if I've updated this page! I'm not finished improving this bullet hose...... yet.
About this creation
A profile shot. Notice the new stock?
Update: March 3rd, 2009. Nothing big, nothing shocking. I rounded off the back of the stock to look like recoil padding, which really helped improve the overall realism. (I think the camera was leaning again)
OOOOHHH!! Shiny! Maybe I should make a magnum...
Let's seeeeeeee..... Where do I start? The longer stock! It's two studs longer than the old one, and this is almost exactly how it looked in the game. But that's not the only thing I've changed about the stock.
That rail thingy that the stock slides on was much too thin on the first version, so I've made it a little thicker. Like I said, it looks almost exactly the same as the real thing now.
Here's the new trigger. Not only does it look like the real thing, it also works like it! Now it moves straight back into the grip. Pretty cool, huh?
Now let's take a look at the new bolt handle. I know, I know! Some of you don't think the SMG even had a bolt. Well, put in Halo 3 and look at the thing!! Trust me, it's there. Anyway, the bolt handle on the V.1 was uglier than the opposite of Heaven, and it was really, really fragile. So, I just made a new one out of some technic pieces.
Now how about some wallpaper? Here it is from the back with the stock extended.
Looking down the sights. Die, ugly white background! DIE!!
Staring at DEATH!! I love the lines of this gun!
Now it looks about the right size. Well, it does next to my skinny little wrist, anyway.
Looking up at the bullet hose. Hey, stop drooling on your keyboard!
From the left side. There's those two red dots you asked for, Justin! How do they look?
From the top with the magazine removed and the stock collapsed. If only I could build another one, so I could dual-wield... (sighs)
A group shot with a couple of my Brickgun models. It's not a very big arsenal, but it's pretty cool.
Excellent. I think the curve on the pistol grip (top rear) doesn't look quite right, but I'm not good with that sort of thing. It DOES have a bolt in-game, by the way; it must be manually (for lack of a better word) cocked before the first round can be fired. Halopedia is your friend, people!
Gotta love the SMG. Dual-wield-able, insane ROF, built-in Stormtrooper syndrome, blink-of-an-eye-fast melee. I always dual wield it if I can. That's my "Blindly-fill-the-screen-with-bullets" insurance policy. Spraying and praying.
Well, I've checked, and the designs are most likely copyrighted. Your next best option would be to get the instructions directly from Brickgun. Sorry I wasn't allowed to show you myself. http://brickgun.com/Instruction_CD.html
Quoting robbie smith
The gun looks awesome, I built it from the instructions but I have no idea how it fires.please can you help.
The gun doesn't actually shoot anything, but there was a working internal hammer in the first version. The design for the hammer belongs to brickgun, and I don't know if it's copyrighted or not. I'll ask around, and see what I can find out. Thanks for asking! Oh, and here's a link to Brickgun.com, just in case I'm not allowed to post it. http://brickgun.com/
Wow!! Totally Awesome, thats my favorite gun in Halo, I'm deadly with duals. It does look just like it, except if I'm not mistaken, I think the foregrip, folds up, I have a poster of Halo 2 and Master Chief is holding one in a close up, and the grip has a fold joint where it connects to the body of the gun. Other than that, its dead on. Great job, wish I had the time and pieces to make stuff like that!!!
dude you should like sell on ebay or sometin'!
ur awesome man! Or u could tell like lego or something on the lego site and get them to make tons and sell dem! Ur guns r awesome dude!
Bricken sweet! How cheesy was that joke?! Great job on this. Do you have X-Box Live? I'm a big Halo 3 fan, and play it often. If you have Live, add me, if not, get it. BTW, don't let the arguement with Jeff give you a negative view of my intellect and personality. I'm usually very smart. I was just having one of those days.
