Strider Support
As stated, strider support for a military attack.
About this creation

As a result of a report or tip, an
Imperial strike force has begun
destroying this township.

And is doing a very good job of it too.

The ideal environment of the soon-to
be-war-ravaged town is also in use
as a field testing ground for the
new Phoenix power armour system,
among others.

Chaos is not the only occupation
of the Zenexabas Empire, but it
is one of the most popular.

In fact, it is so popular that
even the few fully-autonomous
war machines utilized by the
Empire enjoy it too.

The one on the right is a C-995 Command unit. The
one on the left is a Flame projector operator, chosen from the best of the Empire's firebugs.

And the Empire's allies in
xenophobia, the K'naash'aal,
positively revel in it.

With their unique monomolecular blades and carbon fibre
exoskeleton, they are able to cut a swathe through
entire armies. Given their strength and the
difficulty in killing them, this is no surprise.

However, not all Imperial troops
are so hardened. This one, for
instance, is entirely the opposite.

But despite it's well
deserved reputation for
bloodthirsty behavior,
the Empire looks after
it's wounded.

Even the ones hobbling about with their guts in their arms.

But not all imperial citizens
like this regular gene tree
pruning. Indeed, some, like
the Police Dept. of this town
actively fight it with outdated
weapons.

A noble deed, but ultimately doomed to failure.
What was a state-of-the-art strider five years before
is utterly useless now.

Without the controlling influence
of the police, the criminal population
runs amok in most towns and cities.
This one is no exception.
As they say, when the cat's away,
the mice will play.

Some criminals can be harnessed,
however. Such is the lot of the
Imperial Scout Hoverdyne training
cadres. When the call went out
for pilots willing to put their
lives on the line, riding armed
high-performance hoverbikes, huge numbers of criminal
hoverbiker gangmembers flooded Imperial recruiting centres.
In some cases, entire gangs joined up en masse, sticking
together all through training and deployment. Difficult to
control but effective is the general consensus.

Look ma! No pilot! ...No.
There is a pilot. The onboard
combat AI is fully capable
of operating this Fox. The
Fox class medium strider
is well armed, with it's
light gauss cannon, double-barreled particle
beam gun and six pack flechette missiles, it
is more than able to inflict long-range
acupuncture.

This riot strider,
as seen here, was
originally a zero
gravity combat unit,
but the recipients
couldn't be bothered
to remove the RCS.

Despite their temporary
meshing of aims, the
Special Police of this
settlement are not
particularly pleased
with having convicts
armed and active.

In fact, they seem
to be perfectly happy
dragging them in.

Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane!
NO! It's a Phoenix with a back mounted flight system!

To reply: Thanks. I know it's multicoloured; the focus is the fighting, not the background.
The strider could use some work, though. And yes, the Phoenix is pretty much one of my best. Next to the K'naash'aal*, that is. *the K'naash'aal are the big black aliens.
The flying Phoenix is equipped with an uncommon upgrade that allows flight at the cost of
reduced agility.

Quoting Paperweight . So this is where it all began for you. You've improved A LOT over time.
I'd actually been fiddling about for a long time before this; http://mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=86722&id=/user_images/17339/1230536185m_DISPLAY.jpg is probably one of the oldest pictures I have. I do want to point out, though, that I have a tendency to leave pages alone once posted, apart from minor grammar and spelling corrections; I don't like the idea of going back and deleting everything that reflects badly on me. It's a bit too Orwellian for my tastes.

OMG it's true you have improved... anyway, it's typical of you to start your MOCpages experience with such an ambitious post :) I wonder how should I celebrate my anniversary... (feb 12 2010 and I already have a PLAN)

Eh, could be. If you ask me, the only really good parts of these old ones is the commentary; I'm gonna have to work "long range acupuncture" into a more recent MOC someday. It's too good a line to languish in here.

It would look a lot better if it weren't just all types of colors, but sometimes we don't have the pieces for that. The Pheonix Suit is awesome!
