castle siege: crusaders vs black falcons
my entry for CCCVI: siege category
About this creation

This work is based on a historical type of fortification: hourds.
They are still visible in the French castle of Carcassonne
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:France_carcassonne_hourds.jpg
My MOC is based on a modular concept: there are 3 modules (gatehouse, walls, tower) connected with technic pins.
The result is that this fortress could be (and will be!) expanded by the repeating of those modules.
Forces on field:
- 20 black falcons (attackers)
- 32 crusaders (defenders)
- 1 battering ram
- 1 mantlet
- 1 burning cart (was used in order to burn enemy walls or gates)

Well done adding extra brickwork to the prefab wall elements, that adds a nice level of detail. Well done overall =)
