Mercedes Benz R-Compressor Concept
Targa Roof!!
About this creation

After a month of hard work, finally here come my latest creation!!

This is Mercedes Benz R-Compressor Concept, it featured a functional hard top!

As previous MOC created by Firas and Jens Matuschek, I' made this car with a working roof, which I close to our daily life car. Some of them like the Merc SLK, Peugeot 206CC and more!

Both of them own the same characteristic: style, modern. They look cool and can turn themselves
from convertible to coupe under a minute! and thats why i created this R-Compressor Concept.
This car has all 'regular' function like my other MOCs: Openable door,hood truck and an extra!!
a workable hood! Besides, the hood opens forwardly, different from previous MOC. This makes me face
a major problem: lack of space under the hood. I can't created a high detailed engine with this little space. So, please forgive me the 'qualityless' engine

THE CREDIT OF THE WORKING ROOF

Here come the photo of this convertible:
=====================Basic Shot=====================
The 5 basic shots show the exterior detail:

=====================Interior=====================
Yeah, I bought some new parts and finally i success to make a more detailed interior!

=====================My Own Opinion=====================
I really like to take picture with this angle~

=====================Trunk=====================
Workable, but not a big space when the roof is stored...

How high?

Wide?

Deep?

=====================Under The Hood=====================
This car equiped with a powerful Supercharged V8. It produces 495 horsepower which can shoot this car to 100km/h under 5 seconds and can reach up to 250km/h of top speed with the electronic lock.

=====================All Open!=====================
Open all!

=====================The Fun Part Comes!=====================
This is how the roof works. [Comebody can make a stop motion movie with this shot?Hah~ XD]

The show start!

Trunk opens....

Roof and the c-pillar up...

Roof close up ~

Trunk close back to normal position~

C-pillar go down.

B and C[Second] Pillar comes up~

It is now a Coupe!!

=====================Turn Around...=====================

This is awesome Kin. The roof is really good and simple. The car looks like a merc, but a bit more horsepower would it have I think, because amg makes a V8 with 514 -525 bhp, and that without a supercharger. :D

"Oh, KIN, won't you build me a Mercedes-Benz. My friends all drive Porsches..." FINALLY a comment from the over-credited "inventors" of this hard-top...Friend, you did very,very well on this one (and that's not only reasoned by the working roof ;-)). The overall styling is sleek, modern and simple. The only thing I miss (to make it a perfect Mercedes) is the star in the grille. Cheers, Jens

Great roof (well done Sven and Jens for that one!) and a great car too. It doesn't scream 'Mercedes' to me, even as a concept, but it's still a wonderful creation. It's the little details which make cars like this such a delight to look at. 9/10 : ) P.S. It's 'Kompressor' which I think is 'supercharged' in German Mercedes-speak.

Awesome! The folding roof is freakishly similar to Sven and Jens; but It doesn't really matter because the rest of the car looks great! I'll be posting a roadster thingy (not convertible) in the near future, so look out! Nice work! 5/5
