About this creation

This is my version of Tom McDonald's famous Spamcake Diner™. There is a long story as to the origin of the Diner, but basically the idea emanated from Tom's humorous sigs in LUGNET newsgroups warning to delete the "nospam" from his addy when replying. I think somebody batched them all at one time; I'll have to check and provide a link.

Anyhoo, about the MOC. It is a copy of Tom's with some modifications; the orginal can be seen here at the Official Spamcake Web Site. I thought it would be fun if Tom "franchised out" the Diner and one appeared on every LEGO train club layout around the world (Tom is a member of the BAYLTC), and so many clubs have their own versions of the Spamcake Diner. Heck, I even printed up t-shirts:-)

Basically, the Spamcake Diner has provided a lot of fun and comraderie among LEGO train clubs.
