My entry for Commander Fed's Clone Wars Vehicle Contest. It's a droid-ish fighter, but not just any...
About this creation
Greeting mortals, non-mortals, and everything else! Here I am with my entry for the Clone Wars Vehicle contest, next up on my list: The Best Legion. Except it's best battle droid legion, not clone for me. Anyways, as you will see below, I wanted to make a Cylon Raider for my Star Wars Alternate Universe. And here it is:
Full name: Automated Bio-Mechanical Starfighter - Mark 2 - Sentient, also known as the Osprey.
History: The ABMS-M2-S Osprey, named so because of it's characteristics, was a joint project started by the Corporate Alliance and General Grievous. Grievous wanted a superior fighter, and the only people who could help him at the time was the Corporate Alliance, who were not contributing alot at the moment. They designed a half biological, half mechanical fighter that could learn fast and fight well.
The ABMS-M1-S was created. It failed however, because it could not learn quickly enough. The M2 was created, a resounding success. It began to be deployed shortly after Grievous's stunning victory over Coruscant. The Osprey is not a droid, however, unlike it's counterparts. It is as alive as any person, and it can think. More importantly, it can learn from mistakes, and if it dies, it's counciousness is downloaded into a new fighter, remembering everything. Grievous thought it interesting when the first M2 questioned why it was created. Further more, Grievous thought it worrying that they could feel pain and emotion. The fact that the Osprey fighters could devolp personalities was thought disturbing by many of those who knew about it.
Size: Assuming lego Clones are 1.83 meters, like a real Clone, here are the dimensions:
Length: 7.686 meters
Height: 2.013 meters
Width: 5.49 meters
Oh snap! Literally, snap. How is this relevant? NOT my Grievous by the way, the design is from someone around this site...
The Cylon Raider, the concept of which my fighter is based on.
Inside a Raider, what is pretty much inside my fighter, if it had an inside. Raiders are cool... I wonder if they ever fixed them. After Six of One, I don't think the 'dumbing down' of them was ever resolved, the cylon plot went right into their civil war.
By the way, I hate Vista. For a second, all the buttons on the internet toolbar stopped working. Why, no one knows. You know, the Cybermen theme from Doctor Who is very inspirational when building CIS things. Go Youtube it, it's quite epic. Not epic like the music when Big G arrivse on Utupau, but you get the point.
Gak! I almost forgot this: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/76625
