All credit goes to Johannes R for the idea! The front end of this car is pretty similar to the one in his brickshelf folder, so be sure to check out his page. His cars are much cooler. Anyway, this is the kind of car you would have seen on the Nascar tracks back in the old days. The car was short-lived, though, because in 1971, Nascar officials posted a new rule against rear wings. It's too bad, really. This car could have gone so far.......
About this creation
From the top. How about that paint job?
My way of making windshields is really weird, since I don't think lego has any good windshields in this scale. Thank you, Firas, for correcting my spelling. Shame on me!! The hood is just a plate that comes off of the top of the car. If you need to puke, please try not to do it on your keyboard. Another boring engine! The decals for the spoiler are from an old technic go-kart, in case you were interested. Another boring interior. At least the seat's still adjustable. Hey! That chassis turned out pretty good. I have no idea what the chassis on the real car looks like, but I'll update this one as soon as I can find out.
Update: December 9th, 2008. Here it is! This new chassis looks kinda-sorta-not-exactly-like the chassis on the real car. I couldn't make it look exactly like the real one, but it's pretty close.
The new chassis from the back. Check out those exhaust pipes! They actually look very similar to the real exhaust.
Oh, yeah!! Very sleek looking. Well, not for SNOTers.
A shot from the side. How do you like the paint job? Does it need more more color?

Shame on you!! The hood is just a plate that comes off of the top of the car. Nah, it's ok with me because I'm a WHOLE LOT worse than you. I can't even make my own ideas! (After all I am Korean so I don't think outside the box well) 5/5 |

Some tiles would help, but you've got the look of the Daytonas and Superbirds down! Great work and I like the color scheme too. By the way, have you considered doing a GTO or Trans Am> THose are my two favorite muscle cars. Great work, as always. |

Very nice car! For this kind of cars i often raise the rear or lower the front wheels. But that is something I do and like, it is not negatively ment! This is absolutely a good model, with the wing and all. |

Horay for old-skool building!! Really nice car; simplicity always looks good : ) Is it sad I know the exact set and year those rear wing support bricks are from?? P.S You asked how my Rat Rod's gearbox works; a new MOC page has been added with internal shots. |
