Will Thomas vs JD Luse - Round 3 - Sci-Fi
JD's stud MOC + my popularity stunts + epic gore = the MOC-off of all MOC-offs...let's get it on!
About this creation
Well, it's been almost 3 weeks since we posted Round 2, but I'm hopin' it was worth the wait.

Before we begin though, click HERE for a link to JD's.

Special Notes: [lame excuses] These pics are crap for two reasons: I'm not used to taking pictures of interiors, and I was also using a Sprite 12-pack as a tripod. A few pics are blurry, some are washed out, others are dark, and one was even...gold. Well, like they say, less chatty, more splatty; so let's get down to biznezz!

First, we have a pretty basic overview, with a pretty basic prison prisoner revolt, with pretty basic deadly tools.

And who might that be wielding a deadly broom? Yep, he finally got put behind bars, although that cute little smile of his got him a little work release. He's thanking the prison guards right now.

*Insert another lame excuse about picture quality here*

Calling Officer Phipson, Chris, do you read me?

zzzz*snort*zzzzz

zOMG! Tis 1s kewlr den HALO 8!!11

Wow, I have no idea what happened with this one.

Here's a better pic of the little speeder I made. Pretty good for about 15 minutes of work, methinks.

OOOOOOOHHH, creeeepy....

More black fantasy-ish goodness

This shot doesn't do those greebs justice, as I spent hours on them.

Taking a break from commenting on my own creation, [hey, it comes naturally] let's talk irony.

If JD beats me 2 votes to 1 in this round, then he wins the overall competition. [although I might sue JD for coming up with the 3 person judging system] If this happens, JD wins 2 rounds to 1, but I get more overall votes.

Ribbit

Wow, I may have to abduct Alex Eylar...

And finally, the promised gold shot. Although not the desired affect, it came out purdy in my opinion.

So there ya have it folks, [another popularity stunt] you all know the rules and the judges, may the best adoloscent win!

~Will

Woah, this has been the toughest round yet. I have gone over & over each entry, scrutinised each pic, I have been staring at these two pages for close to an hour, trying to come up with a winner. Both creations are very creative & quite awesome, but I am going to have to give this round to Will. Although I think JD did a fantastic job, as usual, Will won out ever so slightly on detail & minifig action. This was a really hard MOCoff to judge, & I am proud you guys asked me to be a part of it. Well done to both of you!

Hmmm...Yep, Yours seems to have a 'Keith Goldman' feel to it, while JD's has a...has a 'JD Luse' feel to it. I think your is a little crowded with details, it kind of makes it look sloppy. I think your creation is really neat, the water, the squid tentacle, the sleeping Phipson, but JD's is cleaner, and that, in my opinion, gave him an edge. I am giving him the nod. Great work, Looks like we need another vote to finish this...DARKSPAWN!

Alright, where do I begin? This is some REALLY impressive work. The prosoners doing hard labor, the GREEBLES, the reference to that lazy Ofc. Phipson sleeping on the job... priceless. This is why I chose others to be judges in the mocOlympics. Two really great entries, both the best in the contest so far. Alright, enough rambling, I know the suspense is killing you. My vote goes to... wait for it... YOU! JD's was AMAZING but I think you just (and I do mean JUST) edged him out. Now let's see what the other judges think. ~ Chris.
