Colorado Springs, 1899
I couldn't keep shining lamps through holes forever, now could I?
About this creation
It was time for a break from the routine. I started to feel like I was just parodying my own style. I was phoning it in (I speak specifically of a project which has since been moved into the trash out of hatred). A slippery slope to stowing the Lego away forever.

On to the photo before you: I wanted to convince to myself I could do a straight build. No fancy lighting, no atmosphere, just a lot of architectural detail. And I guess I did pretty well. I like it, anyway.

I'll go back to my lighting scheme soon enough. Once I come up with an idea where appropriate lighting is essential, and not an aesthetic choice. Until then, I might be doing this kind of stuff. It was a fun build.

*You're free to comment, but keep in mind that you're not talking me off the ledge or anything. I don't need a hug.

**I will, on the other hand, accept overzealous claims of my magnificence. I'm looking at you, Phipson.

Colorado Springs, late winter of 1899. A warm hotel is the place to be.
I need more dark green.

BACKPEDALING UPDATE: Okay, so it was a momentary crisis. Nonetheless, expect one of these every so often, when I fall back into the depths of despair.

I'm with Eggy...the snow effect is awesome. Nice work. Not sure how I like the facade aspect, just because I would want to put it on a Train layout. But, the detail on the outside is amazing. Great work.

This is a really nice building. Kind of like the Facade factor because it adds playabililty. Snow effects are great. You should do more of this type of stuff.

It's just an absolutely gorgeous MOC. Now get back to shining IKEA lamps through holes before somebody has to get hurt.

Hell, I always knew you could build... I don't start fan clubs for just any guy who's handy with a cheap desk lamp, you know.

Looks like something bad is going to happen. Nice building. Hear hear on the dark green. I like little scenes frozen in time like this. It doesn't even matter what is going to happen or what brought them to this point. Life is full of mysteries. see ya. garth
