Will Thomas vs JD Luse Round 1: Castle
Yeeeee-haw! It's on!
About this creation
Hey folks! This is the first of three rounds in a MOC-off between Will Thomas and myself, which includes Castle, Post-Apoc, and Sci-Fi.
Instead of reviews determining the winner, we have judges:

Darkspawn (Aaron Andrews)

Caleb Blanchet

Chris Phipson

They will simply choose who they think did better, and whoever gets two votes out of the three judges wins. Likewise, whoever wins two out of the three rounds wins the whole MOC-off. Dealio?

The Abandoned Tower

In 1473 a brave explorer named John M. Armpitflute set off to find new lands.

But little did he know, the first land he hits has already been discovered. And abandoned.

The land is eerily silent except for the bell in the tower ringing, pushed only by the wind as it was designed many years ago.

He decides to move on. Let the past remain the past, and let the dead rest.

--------------------------------------------------------

I just had to have a history lesson. It's seems uncomplete without a back-story. Y'know what I mean?

Like I said in the history lesson, the bell tower is designed so that only the wind can ring it. That way sailors are warned of dangerous winds as the bell rings faster.

This might be one of the better pictures...

Plants...

Rocks...

Stuff...

I'm bored...

So there's my entry! Keep a lookout for Will's entry. (Good luck man!)

Sorry there wasn't very many pictures and the commentary was lame. I didn't have much time. I can post more pictures later.

And like the self-proclaimed King of Ripoff says...

Get some sleep!

in 1997 a girl called lauren was walking through the forest and then she just disappeared. No one ever found her until 2000 when a young girl called Mary found her body and markings on her chest saying: I wasnt' pretty enough and now that you have read this she will appear in your mirror saying you're not pretty enough and kill you. By the way the girl called mary<3 died shortly afterwards. To be saved, paste this to five other bands. This is true. Now that you have started reading this, please do not stop. This is so scary. Post this on 5 pages in 143 minutes. When you are done, press F6 and your crushes name will appear on the screen in big letters. This is scary because it actually works

Good, I didn't really have to vote...It was a hard first round! I have to agree with DARKSPAWN though, I was looking at it, and thought somthing was wrong, the space, there is too much. I have to say, if that water had some white around the sand this creation might have been overkill! Great job, now for round two...

/Judge mode. First round to JD. Why? Technique. Although the dio is a little sparse it shows lots of innovative ideas, notably the crown used as a bell, the tree, and stonework details on the tower. I think this creation could have been even better if the size were reduced, eliminating a lot of negative space and allowing you to add more detail.

Very nice work JD. The Ocean to Beach to tower tranfer came off nicely. You've got my vote. Can't wait for round 2. ~ Chris.

Cool JD,I really like the way you did the beach-it's look natural. The castle is also pretty cool to,I like the wind ringing the bell idea,it's pretty creative. And don't worry about l a m e (That's so the moderator won't get me) commentary and being the kiing of ripoffs, join the club my friend! Nice Moc,and I can't wait to see how this will turn out~LL

No need for more pics [grins mischeviously] and I so lose. My entries up, I'll give the link to yours as soon as I finish this review. And I thought you might do a back-story, so I went ahead and did one as well. Anyways, it's fantastic. Great amount of detail, I loved it!
