Battlestar Pegasus
UPDATE 2/16/2011, Phase VI added: My take on the legendary ship from Battlestar Galactica.
About this creation

Phase I:

My initial prototyping of the Pegasus. I used the remaining pieces from Minas Tirith to build her.

She is very rough with only 2x4's and several other piece types.

However, this blockiness would only remain a short time until the detailing began.

Phase II:

After the first round of detailing.

Her engines have been clarified.

Armor has been added and color schemes start to form.

The dradis array has been added to her back and weapons are added to the flight pods.

_____________________________________________

Phase III:

More armor has been added.

Although not seen, she is no longer hollow and is much stronger because of it.

The 'tail' underneath her engines has been legthened.

The back of her engines are all uniform in length and style

Phase IV:

A substantial amount of detailing occured between phase III and IV.

Her flight pods have all been smoothed out and the docking ports on the sides have been enhanced.

Her color scheme is complete.

The tips of the engines are all uniform and same color scheme.

The side of the front buldge has been recessed to house three gun batteries and enhanced armor.

The flight pods have addition gun batteries and landing lights.

The dradis array hase been embedded into the ship for greater protection and a hidden asset has been added in its place.

The Armaggeddon Cannon extends from the stowed postion to deliver unmatched firepower onto an enemy.

Phase V:

The detailing work now consists of structual changes to accommodate the new weaponry.

The recesses have been removed and cover plates for the retractable guns are in their place.

The Retractable Armaggeddon Cannon extends from the stowed postion on the flight pods.

The Retractable Armaggeddon Cannon extends from the stowed postion on the head section.

Phase VI

The big changes are the core and engines have been refined to look more like the original Pegasus.

Like her sister ship the Mercury, she also has hidden nuke launchers.

Her Armaggeddon Cannon has been recessed to provide more sleekness and stealth.

Well done! I like the flight pod design. Those things are a pain.

great color patterning. Looks very clean. I'm also a big BSG fan, so I can really appreciate the amount of work that must have gone into such a complex shape as this.
